56 year old Shannon Wafford (like waffle) was born in Seattle and raised in Southern California.
He grew up watching Speed Racer, Susie the Blue Coupe, Speed Buggy, Wonderbug and Knight Rider. In high school he played in a band, worked at a full service gas station and wrote his first book about becoming a stuntman while taking 4 auto shop classes and learning how to build guitars.
His nights and weekends were spent doing freelance and independent film and production work which included working at the Super Bowl for NBC and producing his own music videos and local TV show called "Drag Race San Diego."
After his Dad passed away seven years ago he got the idea to do a feature length documentary about Vector. He was also working on a documentary called "James Dean's Last Drive" but eventually Vector became the main focus of his film work after meeting Jerry Wiegert formally in 2018.
Shannon has met many celebrities and car icons working on his film "Vector: America's First Supercar"
The last 6 years of my life have gone into creating my film "Vector: America's First Supercar." It has been an epic journey telling the story of Vector which comes across like "Tucker" meets "The Wolf of Wall Street."
The many layers of story telling examine not only what it takes to follow your dreams, but also the toll it takes on each person around an individual as well as relationships from business partners to fathers and sons.
Should we chase our dreams?
Should we meet our heroes?
Watch and decide for yourself......
