1. ORGANIZATION
The Festival is promoted by Associazione culturale Ennio Flaiano and Premi Internazionali Flaiano.
The Festival will take place in Pescara (Italy), from 18th to 20th of April 2024.
2. SECTIONS
Multimedia works may be admitted (shorts, documentaries, digital storytelling, video works...) in competitive section. A jury of experts will select shorts for competitive sections.
The competitive sections are:
1 - “SCRITTURA E IMMAGINE”:
Works (fiction, documentaries) inspired by literature, drama and chronicle.
Prize: 1.000 euros
2 - “ANIMACORTO”:
Animated short film section.
Prize: 500 euros
3 – “SPAZIO ABRUZZO”
Shorts set and/or shooted in Abruzzo, a region of Italy, or shooted by directors from Abruzzo.
Prize: 500 euros
4 – “CORTOAMBIENTE: YOUR CITY AND ENVIRONMENT”
Shorts focused on environment and environmental sustainability, pollution and environmental protection.
Prize: 500 euros
5 – CORTOSCUOLA (ONLY ITALY)
Shorts realized by students from elementary school to high school.
The topic is free.
3.ELIGIBLE WORKS
The duration of the shorts must not exceed 15 minutes, excluding titles and credits, anyway not over 16’.
Shorts must be subtitled (in Italian or in English).
The Festival accepts only short films and documentaries produced after 1st January 2022 and shorts not registered to previous editions of the Festival.
Each work can only be entered for one section, and the choice must be clearly indicated.
Submission is free of charge.
4.SUBMISSION METHODS
All shorts and documentaries can be realized with different formats (film, magnetic, digital).
Materials sent for the competition will not be returned and will be part of the Associazione culturale Ennio Flaiano and Mediamuseum archive. Shorts will used also for public projections after the Festival.
For the selection the authors have submit their shorts on line using FilmFreeway.

Submitter must necessarily indicate the following data:

Deadline: 29th FEBRUARY 2023
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COPIES SUBMITTED WILL BE USED FOR SCREENING.
In absence of one or more required conditions and if the short’s link is not accessible, expired or incorrect, selection committee can decide to not evaluate the short.
5.SCREENING
Finalist works and winner works will be screened during the Festival (18-20 April 2024) at the S.Andrea Cinema, Pescara.
We’ll notify by mail only if your short will be selected.
6. JURY
A technical jury will select the winner shorts.
A jury of 100 students selected by the Associazione Flaiano will select the winners for the sections Cortoambiente and Cortoscuola.
7. GENERAL ISSUES
Winners will be contacted by email.
The awarding of the prize depends on the presence of the prizewinner.
Award ceremony will take place in Pescara, on Saturday 20th April 2024.
The Jury’s decision will be final and incontestable.
Once they are submitted, all participants fully accept our rules and regulations for participating.
Shorts submitted may be used for future events of Associazione Flaiano.
For any controversy the Italian text is the authoritative version.
The settling of any other controversy lies in the competence of the Court of Pescara.
