Awards & Prizes

Over the course of each season, a number of Official Selections will be made. Those selected have the opportunity to showcase their film live at our annual event in London, and will also receive official selection laurels and certificates. Award Winners of the annual competition will receive official award laurels, certificates & statuettes.

Annual Awards:
Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Original Score, Best Visual FX, Best Hair, Makeup & Costume, Best Production Design, Best Actor, Best Actress & the Grand Jury Award.

Rules & Terms

Scream Power Horror Fest accepts films from a wide variety of themes, placing no restrictions on the content of your submissions. We encourage filmmakers with bold, unique and powerful stories to submit, providing they adhere to the full list of rules and terms below.

โŸ All short film submissions must be under 30 minutes in duration.

โŸ Foreign language films (non-English speaking) must have subtitles in English.

โŸ Submitted projects must have been made after January 1st, 2019.

โŸ Entry fees are paid in full at the time of submission. Filmmakers can only pay/submit via FilmFreeway.

โŸ All submissions must be fully complete at the time of submission. Incomplete submissions will not be selected.

โŸ We require proof of student status for student submissions.

โŸ Scream Power Horror Fest will take place on July 23, 2022. The venue will be announced within at least three months of the event.

โŸ By submitting to us, you are giving consent to have your films promoted via our website and social media pages. This includes the use of posters, photographs and trailers. We will not show the full-length version of your film until the event (if selected). For the event, filmmakers will be asked to provide an HD, MOV or MP4 copy of the film.

โŸ The releases for all content including, but not limited to, music and talent must be obtained by the filmmaker. Scream Power Horror Fest is not liable for any copyright infringement or unauthorised usage.

โŸ We reserve the right to refuse entries from the competition at any time. Refunds may not be permitted.
