I myself am a filmmakers (Director, Writer and Actress) and have been through the film festival curcuit many times with my short and feature films. Since November 2020 I have been running my Youtube Channel called Sarah of Horror where I review horror movies and show other horror content and now it is time to highlight other filmmakers in the horror genre through my channel. Once every year on October 31st I will hold an online horror film festival where I will announce the winners in each category in a lenghty video on my Youtube Channel. I know that it isn't cheap to send your films or screenplays to festivals and that is why I wanted to keep the entry fees as low as I can. October 2023 will be the second time the Sarah of Horror Festival will be held and I can't wait to see all the talent that is within the horror community.

Any movie and trailer that is accepted and nominated for an award will be up on the Sarah of Horror Youtube Channel for three days (with the filmmakers permission) starting on the 28th of October and then the movie will be taken down and the festival will end on October 31st with the award ceremony video on my channel. I will also promote, have interviews with the accepted entries etc leading up to the festival.

Rules & Terms

- Submissions: All films must be uploaded directly to FilmFreeway via their Secure Online Screener system.
- Entries must have been completed (post-production) between 1st of January 2019 and September 15th 2022 to be eligible. Screenplays can be from any year.
- The Submitter must own the rights to the film or screenplay submitted or have permission from the owner/artist. It is the sole responsibility of the Submitter to secure permission from the rights holders of any and all copyrighted and/or trademarked content or materials included within the film, clear all content within the film from any and all actual or potential legal claims and issues. Sarah of Horror Festival will not be held responsible for any unauthorised inclusion of any copyrighted and/or trademarked content.
- All fees are non-refundable.
- Any film that is not in English must have English subtitles.
- Screenplays must be in English or Swedish.
Sarah of Horror Festival operates a diversity and inclusion policy, judging content, without bias, including gender, sexuality, race and religion.
Sarah of Horror Festival can consider any film or screenplay to be disqualified if the festival considers the content inappropriate..
- By submitting an entry, the applicant accepts Sarah of Horror Festival's Rules and Terms.
- By submitting an entry, you authorize Sarah of Horror Festival to distribute and share the film poster, trailer, synopsis and movie stills on our social media.
