Santiago García Vargas is a Colombian filmmaker and audiovisual storyteller based in Bogotá. A graduate of Universidad de La Sabana, he has developed a versatile career across directing, cinematography, editing, and post-production. His professional experience spans both independent and international film productions, including Paddington in Peru (AG Studios Colombia), Alina of Cuba (Jaguar Bite), and Buddy Games (Cumbia Films). He also completed an internship at Jaguar Bite, contributing to pre-production and production coordination for major projects.
Beyond his film work, García has served as Technical Director at the Cajicá Film and Literature Festival, overseeing screenings, live broadcasts, and real-time graphics. In the commercial field, he has worked as an audiovisual producer and content creator, handling all stages of production from concept to delivery.
His independent projects explore moral and emotional conflicts through visually driven narratives, as seen in Perjurio, his short film about integrity and ethical decision-making. With a deep appreciation for cinematic storytelling, Santiago continues to craft works that blend realism, emotion, and a strong visual identity rooted in Colombian culture.
