My experience was the worst. It wasn’t until I asked for a refund due to lack of communication for months, that I received an email response stating my film received an official selection but unfortunately, it was not an honor to be associated with this film festival after how they handled me as a passionate filmmaker. Did they even have a festival? I absolutely never plan to submit to SSU again.

Awful communication. Festival continued to delay the notification dates and ultimately never announced nominees or winners. We sent numerous emails asking for clarification on the status of the festival and received only one response which didn’t even answer our initial questions.

  • Streaming it virtually this summer was a great success. They had the categories in a good flow, a great adjustment to not being able to be in person.
