The Mighty Mac Fest (hosted by the Saint Ignace Film Festival) is an arts and entertainment festival with a competition film series (both short and feature length with all genres welcome for submission).

The festival will be held (entirely) in and around historic downtown St. Ignace, Michigan in the picturesque Upper Peninsula.

More than a competition film festival, the Mighty Mac Fest will host a variety of special events, live music, celebrity guest lecturers, vendor rooms, and industry breakout sessions to enhance the experience for filmmakers and festival goers alike.

ALL FILMS SELECTED for the festival's competition series will have an individual screening.

ALL FILMMAKERS having films selected for the festival will be provided with an individual All-Access pass to attend ALL festival events and screenings (space is limited at some evens and will be on a first-come-first-served basis as to seating).

Prizes at present will be awarded (in both the short and feature categories) for:

Best Film
Audience Choice Award (Film)
Best Director
Best Acting Performance
Best Editing
Best Original Music
Best Screenplay

Prizes will be cash, awards, and gifts and will be announced (as to type) no later than 30 days prior to the festival opening.

The following will apply as to rules and terms for submitting to The Mighty Mac Fest:

1. For consideration for the competition/awards, submitted films must be completed by May 1, 2024; for rough cuts, to-be-completed, and associated works in progress, please contact the festival through our website for further information.
2. Films must be submitted via FilmFreeway and include a working screener accessible via FilmFreeway in order to be considered.
3. Submission application fees are non-refundable.
4. Submissions must be clear of any legal disputes and the filmmaker must have cleared all rights associated with the submission including (but not limited to): music, exhibition, and use of talent name/likeness.
5. Saint Ignace Film Festival and The Mighty Mac Fest will not be responsible for physical material (posters, decks, etc.) associated with submissions.
