2026 Shoham International Film Festival In honor of Jacob Rajpurker

We’re thrilled to open submissions for the upcoming edition of the Shoham International Film Festival – a celebration of bold, original, and visionary cinema from around the world.

This festival was founded in loving memory of Jacob Rajpurker – a passionate film lover and military officer, and the late father of Festival Director Amir Ragporker. Jacob passed away tragically at the age of 44 before fulfilling his cinematic dreams. This festival is our tribute to his spirit – and to all storytellers chasing their vision.

🎥 What We’re Looking For
Our mission is to discover and showcase the most exciting, innovative, and unique voices in filmmaking. We welcome submissions from creators at all stages of their careers – as long as your story dares to be different.

Submission Categories:
- 🎞️ **Short Films** (1–30 minutes)
- 🎞️ **Featurettes** (31–74 minutes)
- 🎞️ **Feature Films** (75–120 minutes)
- 🎞️ **Documentaries** (All)

🌍 Global & Online
The festival will be held online for 2 weeks, giving global exposure to all selected films. Winners in each category will be chosen by our festival jury and awarded official festival laurels to proudly display.

🎬 About the Director
Festival Director Amir Ragporker is a filmmaker with two feature films and a short film that have screened at festivals worldwide. He’s also penned more than 20 screenplays for feature films and TV series.

- Best Israeli Short Film:

Featurettes : 31-74 min
-Best Featurette:
Winner will receive a review and script doctor from 2 of the industry specialists on their next feature script and laurels.

-Best Israeli Featurette:

Feature Films: 75 min-120 min
- Best Feature Film:
Winner will receive a review and script doctor from 2 of the industry specialists on their next short script and laurels.

- Best Israeli Feature Film:

-Documentary films (all length):
Laurels.

-Best Director: Laurels.

Rules & Terms

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our Film Festival operates online if you wish for your film not to be shown as part of our digital format please do not submit it to our festival.

All genres are accepted.
For student fees, it is mandatory the student status evidence (e.g copy of student card included in the project).

The films must include English subtitles (unless the spoken language is English, or Hebrew).

By submitting your film, you agree that:
1. Shoham Film Festival can use parts of your film (including trailer/teaser/film poster) for promotional purpose.
2. Entry fees are non-refundable.
3. You own all the rights to the film.
4. You can withdraw your submission only 2 days after.
5. You cannot withdraw your submission after the official selection.
6. The selected and winning films will be available to watch for a week on our sponsor's website Icinemaspot.com.

Shoham Film Festival does not accept the following:

1. Extremist or propaganda content from religious or political organizations.
2. Films which are made before 2020.
3. Films with a poor production standard (bad sound, lack of subtitles/captions for non-English films, or video resolution less than 720p HD).
