The SCCC Film Festival cordially invites filmmakers from local, regional, and international spheres to submit their independent films for the Spring Film Festival set for April 16-19 at the beautiful Sussex County Community College Campus of Newton, NJ.

SCCC is committed to inspiring the next generation of filmmakers and film enthusiasts. Over the course of four days, attendees will enjoy a dynamic lineup of short, documentary and experimental film screenings curated by SCCC faculty and students in various disciplines. Each screening segment will be followed by engaging panel discussions and Q&A sessions led by faculty, promoting meaningful dialogue and interdisciplinary connection of the visual arts, humanities and technical aspects of film. The festival showcases the talents of filmmakers from novice to professional and provides an excellent opportunity to network with fellow cinema lovers in the New Jersey/TriState Area.

The SCCC Film Festival aims to provide an opportunity for filmmakers to screen their work in a supportive environment, as well as encourage the art of filmmaking and the exploration of innovative ideas and viewpoints in our community.

Awards and special honors will be selected in categories of submission (Narrative, Documentary and Experimental Short Films) by Film Committee members, which is comprised of faculty, students and community filmmakers.

  • Thanks for selecting “Bay For Blood” into your festival! I wasn’t able to attend the event in person, but had a good experience overall, and will definitely consider submitting future projects to this festival.
