All Official Selections will receive (4) full Weekend Passes to the Scare-A-Con Convention and will be featured in the Indie Horror Junkie Magazine!

The Winning Short and Feature films will receive a custom made 'Best of' Trophy! The winning films will also get their own write up in Indie Horror Junkie the Magazine!

Additional Awards will be given for the following categories:

- Best Director
- Best Foreign Film
- Best Cinematography
- Best Special FX
- Best Documentary
- Best Supporting Actor
- Best Supporting Actress

Rules & Terms

Submission: When you submit your movie or short, you agree that if nominated, clips of your film may be used in the promotion and presentation of the festival. The festival has full rights to show your motion picture if accepted.

Non-Commercial Showings: You may be contacted regarding future, non-commercial showings of your motion picture at related events to help promote the festival.

No Withdrawals: Films cannot be withdrawn from consideration once they have been submitted.

Authorization: By submitting, you attest that you are authorized to enter into such an agreement.

Submission Fee: The submission fee helps cover the costs of the theater, projector, workers, advertising, special guests, etc. The fee cannot be waived.

    Really thankful for the recognition at Scare-A-Con 2025, bummed I couldn't be there in person with my film (POV), but let me just say this: Scare A Con does something that I've never seen any other fest do, and its PRICELESS... they actually review your movie and provide you with the judges' score cards for your film! How neat is that?!?! Other festivals should take note and follow their lead-- VERY much appreciated, a big added value to this event.
