Rural FilmFest

To participate:
You have a film.
No matter where you come from. The Festival is open to filmmakers from all over the world.
You can submit as many films as you wish. It is not a problem if the films have been previously screened in other festivals or shown on the Internet.
The films may be in Spanish or in any other language with Spanish subtitles. For the SELECTION process are not necessary Spanish subtitles but if your film is selected we will ask you Spanish subtitles for the public screening.
The organization can use pieces from the selected films (10% maximum) to promote them and the festival. Selected films of Rural FilmFest will become part of "Rural FilmFest Tour" besides being able to participate in any of the activities constituting Rural FilmFest. Authors will be informed in advance of each event.

Competition Categories:
- EcoFilms: Fiction, animation and documentary films, in which the central theme is related to ecology, nature and everything that has to do with the rural world.
​- RuralFicción: free themed films.
- Rural Kids: Films for children.​
- Valencian film: Prize for the best Valencian film for those born or resident in the Valencian Community.
- Mediterranean Palm Grove: Films related to the palm grove. That deal with a wide range of themes such as uses, tradition, culture, trades, water, heritage, conservation, agriculture or sustainability.

Running time:
The short films may not run over 25 minutes.
The medium films from 25 to 45 minutes.
The feature films longer than 45 minutes.

Format:
All of the submitted films can participate, no matter the format. The screening will be from a digital file (participants will be informed about the format needed for the screening with time enough).

The organization reserves the right to accept a film, if it is not sent within the registration period together with all the necessary documents.
Once the films have been received, and until the deadline, the organization will select those taking part in the competition and will inform the selected participants.
The authors, producers or owners of the rights of the works, give specifically the rights of exhibition for the realization of the screenings in the programmes of the different sections in which they have been selected in Rural FilmFest.
Registration implies acceptance of all the regulations. All fees are non-refundable. We are not able to pay a screening fees. Any other issue which is not included here will be sorted by the RFF 2025 organisation.

Para participar:
Si tienes una película.
Seas de donde seas. El Festival está abierto a realizadores de todo el mundo.
Puedes presentar todas la películas que quieras.
Las películas pueden haber sido anteriormente proyectadas en otras muestras / festivales o colgadas en internet.
Para el proceso de selección no son necesarios los subtítulos en español pero si tu película resulta seleccionada te pediremos subtítulos en español para la proyección. Si tu película es en lengua española te solicitaremos subtítulos en inglés.
La organización podrá utilizar fragmentos de las obras seleccionadas (máximo 10%) para promoción de las mismas y del festival.
Las películas seleccionadas en Rural FilmFest pasarán a formar parte de “Rural FilmFest Tour” además de poder participar en cualquiera de las actividades que conforman Rural FilmFest. Los autores serán informados con antelación a cada evento.

Categorías a concurso:
- EcoFilms: Películas de ficción, animación y documental, en los que el tema central está relacionado con la naturaleza, la ecología y todo lo que tenga que ver con el mundo rural.
- RuralFicción: Películas de ficción de temática de libre.
- Rural Kids: Películas para público infantil.​​
- Película valenciana: Premio a la mejor película valenciana para nacidos o residentes en la Comunidad Valenciana.
- Palmeral Mediterráneo: Películas relacionadas con el palmeral. Que traten temas tan diversos como los usos, la tradición, la cultura, los oficios, el agua, el patrimonio, la conservación, la agricultura o la sostenibilidad.

Duración:
Cortometrajes máximo 25 minutos.
Mediometrajes entre 25 y 45 minutos.
Largometrajes a partir de 45 minutos.

Formato:
Podrán participar películas rodados en cualquier formato. Las proyecciones se harán en archivo digital. (Se comunicará a los seleccionados el tipo de archivo necesario para las proyecciones con suficiente antelación).

La organización se reserva el derecho de no aceptar una película a concurso, si no se envía dentro de la fecha límite junto con toda la documentación solicitada.
Una vez recibidos las películas hasta la fecha de finalización del plazo, la organización seleccionará los que entran a concurso e informará de esta selección a los participantes.
Los autores, productores o propietarios de los derechos de las obras, ceden expresamente los derechos de exhibición para la realización de las proyecciones en los programas de las diferentes secciones en las que hayan sido seleccionados en Rural FilmFest.
La inscripción implica la aceptación de estas bases. Las cuotas de inscripción no son reembolsables. No nos es posible pagar una tasa por proyección. Cualquier cuestión aquí no prevista, será resuelta por la organización del RFF 2025.
