This is the one and only Rugby Warwickshire Film Festival. We are a small town with an amazing history. (Pop quiz: Can you guess what sport was invented here? No, not tennis!)

After the success of the first year we look forward to screening more amazing short films, documentaries and music videos. We will be accepting entries from all over the world but we especially want to showcase lots of Midlands talent.

Awards & Prizes

- Best Drama Short
- Best Comedy Short
- Best Documentary
- Best Midlands Short
- Best Animation
- Best Super Short (5 mins and Under)
- Best Music Video
- Best of Rugby - (This can be a short film or music video made locally / about the sport / about the town / be made by local talent)
- Best Actress
- Best Actor

Rules & Terms

- Short films must be under 25 mins.
- Music videos must be under 15 mins
- All films must have been made after 2020
- International films not in English must be subtitled or dubbed in English.

Rights

By submitting your film to our festival you agree that a short clip from your piece of work can be used in a trailer for the festival. And images from it can be uploaded to our website to help promote the festival. The filmmaker/institution that is submitting the film must own the rights to do so and is responsible for the content they are providing. By submitting, the filmmaker allows Rugby Warwickshire Film Festival to create a page for their film without infringing copyright of any kind of form. Any violations of that agreement will result in immediate disqualification from the festival.

Judging decisions are final.

    Had an awsome time attending the Rugby Warwickshire Film Festival. 🎇🍿 Exciting, mesmerising films played across 2 weekends of drama horror & thriller genres. Loads of fun to chat about the film in a Q&A with Iga Wyrwal. Massive thanks rugby warwickshire filmfestival for including our cyber-thriller made in Rugby Town 🎭🎪 We are delighted to recieve an award for 'Most Marketable Film'. It was a journey of surprises, laughs and creative legends; lovely to see friends who we all collaborated with on Dishonest. A full house at the rugby art gallery for all the awsome movies...
