The Dog Film Festival is the first film and literary festival focused on Dog in his relationships with humans. Empathy, Nature, Environment and Emotional Values are the main evaluation issues in the judgment of selections. The festival is addressed to three categories of participants - Professionals, Lovers and Writers. This channel allows only Professionals (production and distribution companies and independant videomakers) to register their works.
The initiative, conceived by Artix (Rome, Italy), enjoys the patronage of the Italian Red Cross and FNOVI (National Federation of Italian Veterinary Orders), Partner is Trip for Dog, Media partner Dimensione Suono Soft Radio (Rome, Italy).

1) Organization
Dog Film Festival is a cultural event promoted by Artix cooperative society, based in Rome, Tax Code / VAT number 10585121006, hereinafter called Organization.

2) Producers Section
The Producers Section is the section in competition of Dog Film Festival reserved exclusively for:
a) cinema and / or television and / or multimedia production or distribution companies;
b) professional videomakers;
hereinafter referred to as Participants.

3) Announcement
This Call exclusively regulates the relations between the Organization and Participants for the execution of the activities relating to the Producers Section of Dog Film Festival.

4) Admitted works, essential requirements
By the latest date of May 30, 2021, it is allowed to register in the Producers Section exclusively feature films and short films, including animation, TV films, also serials, documentaries and web series, hereinafter referred to as Works, which meet the following essential requirements:
a) have as protagonist, co-protagonist or interpreter, in any role and modality, one or more dogs;
b) have been distributed in cinema, television, home video and web circuits starting from January 2018;
c) if unreleased, they have been produced starting from January 2020.
Works already presented and possibly awarded in other Festivals can also be registered.

5) Terms, methods and registration fee
a) Each Participant can register one or more Works in the Producers Section.
b) Registration must be completed by May 30, 2021.
c) Works arriving after 30 May 2021 will be excluded from the Festival.
d) The Registration Fee for the Producers Section is € 80.00 (eighty / 00) for each Work and must be paid at the time the Work is sent.
e) Participation is completed only with the payment of the Registration Fee.
f) The payment of the Registration Fee formalizes the unconditional acceptance of the General Regulations of Dog Film Festival and of this Announcement

6) Methods of sending the Works
a) The Works of the Producers Section must be registered to the Festival only through the FilmFreeway platform (
b) The Works must be sent together with the Participation Form (download on
c) The Works must be made available exclusively by means of a link that allows the Jury to view it in streaming
d) The Organization reserves the right to invite Works at its discretion.

7) Reasons for exclusion
in case of subsequent confirmation of the lack of the essential requirements referred to in article 4) of this Call, the Works will be excluded and the Registration Fee will not be returned.

8) Statements
By sending the Participation Form, the Participant expressly and without reservation declares:
a) have read and unconditionally accept the General Regulations of Dog Film Festival in all its parts.
b) have read and unconditionally accept this Notice in all its parts.
c) be the owner of the copyright or the edition, publication and / or distribution of the Works.
d) grant the Organization the right to view, quote and mention the Entries entered for the organizational, editorial and communication purposes of the present and future editions of Dog Film Festival.
e) grant the organization the right to publish on the web platforms and to show to the public the commercial trailer of the registered work or any other teaser that may be provided.

9) Dog Film Festival Awards. Method of assignment.
a) Dog Film Festival rewards the artistic merit of the Works registered in the Producers Section with the assignment of awards briefly called DFF Producers Awards.
b) The DFF Awards are assigned at the discretion of the Dog Film Festival Cinema Jury, chaired by Giampaolo Sodano.
c) The assignment of the DFF Producers Awards will be announced on July 8, 2021, unless otherwise officially communicated by the Organization.
d) The delivery of the DFF Producers Awards will take place in the manner currently permitted by national and local legislation on pandemic prevention.

10) Dog Film Festival Producers Awards. Awards.
a) The DFF Producers Awards consist of an Award Certificate and are not redeemable for cash
b) The DFF Producers Awards are assigned for the following categories:
• DFF Bau Award, assigned to the best interpreter dog
• DFF Director Award, assigned to the best director
• DFF Trainer Award, awarded to the best trainer
• DFF Corto Award, assigned to the best short film
• DFF Doc Award, assigned to the best documentary
• DFF Cartoon Award, assigned to the best animated film

11) Privacy
Pursuant to current legislation on privacy, the Participant expressly declares to allow the use of their personal data for the purposes strictly related to the organization and communication of the present and future editions of the Dog Film Festival.
