Held at Pop's Art Theater in Rochester, Minnesota, we want to celebrate short films, with a focus on animated, comedic, and experimental shorts!
This is a Midwest-centered film fest, and priority will be given to filmmakers based in the Midwest.

There will be a general submissions category, along with a 72 Hour film contest held July 9th to 12th! Link to sign up for the 72 hour challenge will open April 30th.

Submissions will be open until July 6th.

Rochester Film Festival will take place August 1st!

BEST Film will be awarded by judges, and will be picked from general and 72-hour submissions. The filmmaker/team will be awarded $100.

Rules & Terms

Artists based in the Midwest-based, age 18+

Submissions must be between 2 and 10 minutes, and completed within the last year.

Open to any genre, with a preference for animated, experimental, and comedic work.

Maximum 2 entries per artist.
