Ripley County Film Fest 2026

The Ripley County Film Fest is returning June 1–6, 2026, following a phenomenal debut in 2025 that welcomed nearly 500 attendees and celebrated the art of storytelling through film. Hosted by the Ripley County Community Foundation, the festival brought together filmmakers, film lovers, and community members for a week of cinematic celebration.

Set against the charming backdrop of Ripley County’s historic single-screen theaters, The Damm Theatre in Osgood and The Gibson Theatre in Batesville, the festival showcased 16 original short films spanning multiple genres, as well as the energetic 24-Hour Filmmakers Challenge, where teams created films from start to finish in just one day. The week wrapped with an awards ceremony honoring the outstanding talent on display.

From first-time filmmakers to seasoned creatives, the Ripley County Film Fest proved to be a powerful platform for sharing stories, inspiring future artists, and strengthening our creative community.

If, for some reason, after acceptance (but prior to the public announcement of the festival line-up) you choose not to screen with the Ripley County Film Fest, you must contact the festival immediately. Attempts to cancel a screening AFTER the official announcement cannot be acknowledged and the film will screen from the available copy on hand. Any title breaking its filmmaker agreement and pulling from the lineup once confirmed will be liable for any and all damages incurred by the Ripley County Community Foundation, Inc., and/or allowable by law.

I've been a filmmaker for a long time and have had short films shown all over the world, and I love this little film festival here in my hometown! I hope more filmmakers get the opportunity to submit to this festival and come to the screenings so I can meet them.

  • I can’t say enough good things about Ripley County Film Fest! It was well organize and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It was such an honor not only to be part of their inaugural festival, but also to be able to screen our film in a historic single screen theater was fantastic. Great communication leading up to the festival and we loved the charm and community togetherness of the towns of Osgood and Batesville. Thank you for inviting us. We can’t wait until next year!
