# An IMDb Qualifying Festival

## Celebrating Faith, Family, and Universal Values

Welcome to the **Religion Faith International Film Festival (RFIFF)**, dedicated to showcasing films that explore religious themes, family values, and spiritual journeys across all faith traditions. RFIFF is part of the acclaimed **WRPN.tv Entertainment Network**, alongside **Depth of Field International Film Festival**, **Documentaries Without Borders**, **WRPN Women's International Film Festival**, **LGBTQ-Unbordered International Film Festival**, and other distinguished festivals in our network.

## Our Mission

Faith- and family-based films are experiencing unprecedented growth in the entertainment industry. More filmmakers are exploring religious and spiritual themes, driven by audience demand for inspirational content, technological advances that democratize filmmaking, and greater mainstream acceptance of faith-based narratives.

RFIFF provides a platform for these voices—**open to all faiths and spiritual perspectives**—where filmmakers can share their work with audiences who value faith-driven, family-oriented content.

## Inclusive Programming

In today's world, where the concept of family continues to evolve, RFIFF embraces diversity. We accept films from around the world that:
- Show respect for different cultures, traditions, and values
- Explore spiritual journeys across any faith tradition
- Celebrate the bonds that bring people together
- Offer educational and inspirational perspectives

RFIFF serves both entertainment and educational purposes, creating meaningful dialogue through cinema.

## Distribution Pathways

**Best of Festival winners** receive guaranteed distributor review by our exclusive partners:
- **Worldwide Motion Pictures Corporation (WWMPC.COM)** — Features
- **Adler & Associates** — Features and shorts
- **Cardinal XD** — Features and shorts
- **CCS Releasing** — Features and shorts

We deliver your film directly to distributors who are actively seeking faith-based and family content—no hoping they'll show up at an event.

**Rhodium Screenplay Award winners** receive exclusive submission access to **Polaris Pictures**, a film finance company that does not accept unsolicited material.

*Important: Distributors operate independently. RFIFF facilitates introductions for top winners but does not control their decisions.*

## The Feedback Advantage

RFIFF believes every filmmaker deserves constructive guidance.

**For Films:** If your submission is not selected, you'll receive detailed feedback explaining why, plus free resubmission for the next competition after addressing the outlined issues.

**For Screenplays & Novels:** Rejected submissions receive specific feedback with free resubmission available within 30 days of the final deadline or for the following season.

This transparency helps strengthen your work not just for RFIFF, but across the entire festival circuit.

## Screenplay & Novel Competition

RFIFF welcomes written works exploring faith, spirituality, and family themes:
- Feature-Length Screenplays
- Short Screenplays
- Teleplays
- Novels

## Specialized Judging Expertise

**Film Evaluation:** Skilled video reviewers with experience in faith-based and family content assess film submissions.

**Written Work Evaluation:** Experienced readers and judges specializing in literary assessment review all screenplays and novels.

Each discipline is evaluated by professionals with relevant expertise, ensuring your work receives informed, qualified consideration.

## Independent Merit-Based Evaluation

RFIFF employs a non-comparative judging system in which each entry is evaluated on its own merits. When your work is under review, judges focus entirely on your submission—scoring according to performance criteria rather than ranking against other entries.

### Submission Requirements

**Content Eligibility:** All submissions must include an inspirational, religious, or family theme. Films need not be explicitly religious but must contain a spiritual component. RFIFF welcomes works from all faith traditions—what matters is that the content explores how faith enables wise choices for individuals, families, and communities.

**Language:** Non-English films must include English subtitles.

**Category Compliance — CRITICAL:**
- **Written materials (screenplays, teleplays, novels)** must be submitted to screenplay/written medium categories ONLY
- **Films/videos** must be submitted to film/video categories (drama, documentary, arthouse, etc.) ONLY
- Submitting written material to film categories will result in automatic rejection
- Submitting a film/video to the screenplay categories will result in automatic rejection

### Specialized Judging Expertise

**Written Work Evaluation:** Professional readers and judges review all screenplays, teleplays, and novels. These judges do not review video submissions.

**Film Evaluation:** Professional video reviewers assess all film submissions. These judges do not review written materials.

This specialized approach ensures your work receives informed evaluation from qualified professionals in each discipline.

### Authorization & Entry Rights

The individual or corporation submitting warrants they are authorized to commit the film for screening and accept all festival requirements and regulations. The festival reserves the right to refuse entries without providing waivers.

**Producer Consent:** We do not screen films without the producer's written consent.

### Promotional Rights

By submitting, you grant RFIFF rights to use excerpts from accepted competition films for promotional purposes. Clips from winning entries may be streamed on RFIFF.COM and WRPN.TV.

### Official Selection Process

**Official Selection Listing:** Your project name appears on the Official Selection list only if submitted to one of the 34 Major Categories.

**What "Official Selection" Means:** Your work has passed the initial judging stage (not rejected) and advances to the award judges who will determine if and what type of award it receives. Official Selection does not guarantee screening or awards.

### Subcategory Awards

Entry into subcategories does not guarantee selection or award. **Winning an award in a subcategory does not qualify for live screening or distributor submission.**

### Independent Merit-Based Evaluation

To ensure each film or screenplay is viewed, read, studied, and rated individually, RFIFF has implemented a system in which entries are not competing against one another but are recognized for their merits. They compete against themselves—each entry is judged on individual merits and scored on an inherent value system.

When it's your turn to be evaluated, the judge's focus is on your film or screenplay, not on all the other works in the queue. This ensures they won't have comparisons going on in their minds when they should focus entirely on you.

### Live Screening Protocol

**Best of Festival winners only** are screened theatrically. These events capture authentic audience reactions that distributors use to inform their decisions. RFIFF does not conduct after-screening networking parties or seminars. Audience video interviews may be conducted and featured on WRPN.tv.

**Screening Cancellation Rights:**
- We cannot guarantee audience turnout for any screening, irrespective of promotional activities conducted by the theater or our festival. If attendance for a specific film is insufficient, we maintain the right to cancel that screening.
- If a Best of Festival winner decides not to screen live, fails to submit required materials, or doesn't respond to requests, we reserve the right to cancel the live screening. However, the award winner will still retain their award.

The festival reserves the right to modify program dates and times.

### Distributor Relationships

RFIFF has no control or influence over Polaris Pictures or any associate distributors' decisions. Anything beyond the initial introduction is strictly negotiated between you and the distribution company.
