We are bringing 'Indie' back to the independent film festival. There are so many great festivals out there but it seems unless you have big budgets and big names you will be over looked. The Red Sands Film Festival is all about celebrating the independent filmmaker. We want to see story telling at its best! It's a tough world out there and we want to give the little players a chance to make a name for themselves.

We are interested in story first everything else second. You don't need big budgets or celebrities to ensure you will be seen. You just need to tell a great story, everything else is a bonus.

Which also brings us to the best part! You enter once and you are entering for every award! At Red Sands you don't have to pay for each category. One payment and you are in the running for every award that your film can win.

Rules & Terms

As Revolving Door Productions is one of the major players behind this festival, all films that have been produced in any way through Revolving Door are ineligible for any awards.

All films need to be 15 minutes or under.

All selected films must be available for screening on H264 or ProRes file.

All films must be in English or have English subtitles.

    Red Sands might just be the most well organised and beautifully curated film festival that I've been fortunate to be a part of. My film 'White Lies' screened at Red Sands, and I was re-energised as a filmmaker from the energy in the theatre during the screening of my film and other wonderful films.

    Grateful to Rob and the team for such an incredible film festival; Rob's communication was fabulous before and after the festival as well. I would be most delighted to screen a future film of mine again at Red Sands Film Fesival!
