Very happy to be a part of this year's edition - the festival organizers were communicative & friendly, we couldn't attend the event as we live in Australia but it looked like a great experience. Thank you!

  • Red Rose Film Festival is a real treasure. The entire experience from selection all the way to the awards ceremony was fantastic.

The Zoetropolis theater is one of the coziest theaters I've been in. The atmosphere of the festival is so casual that it's hard not to feel comfortable and at home there. Speaking in the QnA session felt like a conversation with a friend I've had for years and it was so easy to get up and stage and talk about my film. In my conversation with Mr. Shank, he brought up quotes from my cover letter and asked me in depth questions about my film. This showed me that the team behind Red Rose not only watches your film, they carefully observe and recognize all of the details you painstakingly bake into them. They pick out their favorite parts, characters, shots, themes, etc. They have a genuine curiosity for your work and want to know more about it. They really went above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and a part of something special. As a selected filmmaker, I felt valued, heard, and respected. The passion behind Red Rose is obvious and it's so easy to tell that everyone involved loves what they do.

A pet peeve of mine is communication between the festival and the filmmaker. There are so many festivals that lack open communication. With Red Rose, whenever I had a question it was quickly answered. If I was lost on my way, I was steered in the right direction. Communication was very fast and always informative.

To everyone involved in putting on this festival, thank you so much. In my career as a filmmaker, this has been the best festival I've been a part of. I highly recommend it and will certainly return in the future.
