Red Rock ScreenDance Film Festival is an international festival of dance-film platform in conjunction with Red Rock Dance Festival, hosted by St George Dance Company.
The film festival is in its second year, while the dance festival is in its 14th year. For the 2021 premier of this dance film festival, worldwide entries were submitted, with winners as far away as Australia!

The film festival is hosted at Dixie State University, in St. George, Utah. Accepted film submissions for 2022 will be screened at Dixie State University Concert Hall Wednesday June 1st & Thursday June 2nd.

ScreenDance finalists will show along with live choreography finalist on Saturday, June 4th, 7:30 p.m. The final screening is located at Dixie State University, Eccles Main Stage Theatre.

We accept short dance films of live dance action.

Before submitting, please remember we are specifically a festival of dance-film, and do not show non-dance related film.

First, Second, and Third place winners will be announced & recognized at the final performance Saturday, June 4th, 7:30 p.m., DSU Eccles Main Stage Theater.

First place winners will be shown at the final performance, along with live selections from the choreography adjudication.

1st place winners were shown at the final performance Saturday, June 12th.
1st place winners receive a cash prize.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd places received a certificate

Submissions must be less than 15 minutes in length.

Must be an original work, created for film/video
(no filmed dance performances)

Work must have been produced after August 1st, 2017

Student applicant should apply with a .edu address

Applicants must have all rights and permissions to present the work.

Red Rock ScreenDance Festival reserves the right to use submitted films and still shots for promotional use: including accepted and finalist films.
Dance films are to be produced within the past 3 years.
Films are shorts no longer than 15 minutes in length.
