Red Flight Pictures Screenplay Awards

All screenplays must be submitted in English and follow standard screenplay formatting, including 12-point Courier font, numbered pages, and a properly formatted title page. Submissions must be in PDF format only — no hard copies or mailed submissions will be accepted.

Feature-length screenplays should be between 45 and 145 pages, while short films are defined as any screenplay under 45 pages.

All genres and styles are welcome. We encourage originality, creativity, and strong storytelling across every type of film.

All entry fees must be paid in U.S. dollars and are non-refundable. Each screenplay must be entered separately, with its own submission form and fee.

Judges, employees, and affiliates of Red Flight Pictures LLC or Revolving Artist Films, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter. Submissions must be the original work of the applicant. Adaptations are accepted only with proof of rights or written permission from the copyright holder. Collaborative works are welcome, but any prizes will be awarded jointly to the credited writers.

Each screenplay will be read and reviewed by a team of screenwriters and producers. From there, roughly 250 screenplays will advance to Tier 2 judging, where they will be evaluated by our executive producers and financiers. Selection for Tier 2 does not guarantee a cash prize or production agreement, and all judging decisions are final.

The Top Prize Winner will receive the opportunity to work with producers toward an option agreement for potential development and production. Additional prizes or honorable mentions may be awarded at the discretion of the judging panel.

By submitting, entrants acknowledge that Red Flight Pictures LLC and Revolving Artist Films reserve the right to make any necessary changes to deadlines, rules, or scheduling. Entrants retain full rights to their work unless an option agreement is reached. All submissions are handled confidentially and are not shared outside the judging process.

Writers may submit multiple screenplays, though each must be entered separately with its own submission form and fee.
