Rebeca Saavedra Gironás (Santiago, 1989). Degree in Philosophy from the University of Chile. Graduated in Contemporary Film Screenplay at the Cinema School of Chile. Documentary Creation Workshop of High Studies at the EICTV (International School of Cinema and Television of San Antonio de los Baños), Cuba.
Master in documentary film direction at ESCAC (Higher School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalonia), Barcelona. Scholarship by the same school for a second master's degree in fiction direction “One Year Filmmaking”.
Certified colorist in DaVinci Resolve 17.

She has worked as a teacher of philosophy and vocational guidance at Sao Paulo School; and as a teacher in the Faculty of Economics at the Universidad de Chile, at the Universidad Diego Portales and at Penta-UC at the Universidad Católica de Chile.

During 2016, she works as Cultural Manager and Producer in Digital Tour, a company dedicated to communications and the production of itinerant cinema. In 2018, she made her first short film documentary "El Monasterio del Cine". In 2019, she co-directed her first documentary, "Traslado", about inclusion and intellectual diversity.

In parallel, she makes the short film "El Eterno Retorno", part of a collaborative feature film about five documentary stories on themes of sexual abuse and gender violence. From 2020 onwards, she develops different short films, testing new forms of language between documentary, experimental and fiction, such as "Somos Voces"; "Adela, bulería por soleá" (in post-production); "Refugiarte", "Papelitos al viento" (in post-production); "Pauline Zoé" (in post production); "Este Viaje", video clip in analogue format.
