RHEMA FILM FESTIVAL is a yearly Film Festival in Houston, Texas. Short films are requested for submission with a general or random Festival theme. Filmmakers are to produce and submit a short film with specific guidelines.
Submitted films are reviewed, and an experienced panel makes selections of Judges.
Selected films are then taken to an online and onsite cinema for premier and audience/Judges' final vote.
This year, there will be two categories of AWARD;
1. People's Choice Award- This will be based on viewers voting during Rhema Film Festival Festival
2. Judges Award- The panel of Judges determines this category before the Rhema International Film Festival

Awards & Prizes

RHEMA FILM FESTIVAL 2024 Winners will go home with an award plaque or Award certificate and some monetary gifts based on their winning level(s).
All qualifying participants will be given a certificate of participation.

Film submission is free. The short film should be uploaded to filmfreeway.com or emailed to rhemaplanters@gmail.com

This year's submission will be "SHORT FILMS" with a story from any BIBLICAL-based points.

RULES FOR FILM SUBMISSION:
1. A short Christian film of any genre
2. Film should be about 15 minutes or less in duration.
3. Film should be biblically established and founded.
4. No nudity, sexually explicit images, inappropriate language, extreme violence, or any other representation that will not glorify God.
5. Film should contain redemptive messages that will share the aim of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

FOCUS:
We will be looking at the relevance of the theme to the entire story of the film, Originality of the story, Camera use and quality, Audio and Sound, Talents’ performance (Acting), Technicalities (Directing, Editing Styles, Scripting and Dialogue, application of purposeful lighting …etc

    This is my second year following Rhema Film Festival and it has been an awesome time of value and display of talent and quality. Apart from the screening of short films, the short talk has on each occasion been an eye-opening session for me. It is a film festival all faith-based producers are encouraged to partake in.
