REELING: Dance on Screen

REELING: Dance on Screen is a bi-annual event that features local, Canadian, and international short works (under 10 minutes) in a variety of dance styles. From July 15-28, 2025, there will be a live screening of featured works, in addition to online offerings.

This festival highlights innovations in digital dance and dance films from near and afar.

All REELING films are screening at Mile Zero Dance, located at 9931- 78 Avenue.

Chosen artists receive payment of $150 Canadian for their work.

All individuals are welcome to apply, and submissions must include:

The title, length and date of your piece;
A 140 character elevator pitch;
A 400 word (or less) description of the project;
A link to your film or footage (up to 10 minutes long);
Headshot and bio (lead artist only, please include where you are from); and
Relevant online links (website, social media etc.).
All applications must be submitted through the online application form.
Please note the film festival is open to International artists - we welcome you to apply!

I'm happy to take part in this festival. Very interesting selection of works and all program. I got good support in social media, and it was nice to share posts and promote your event.
Thank you for making a great opportunity to watch the program online. My friend from over the word asked me how they can watch my film? So I invited them to buy tickets and watch online.
