About QSFF
The Queer Spectrum Film Festival is a groundbreaking event in Ireland’s cultural landscape, proudly recognised as the first film festival dedicated to LGBTQIA+ people of colour and immigrants.

Organised by Queer Asian Pride Ireland (QAPI) — a community of LGBTQIA+ individuals of Asian descent living in Ireland — QSFF creates space for diverse voices too often marginalised in mainstream film culture.

2. QSFF is an annual event held at the Irish Film Institute (IFI) in Dublin.

3. QSFF is a not-for-profit public festival run entirely by volunteers. We do not pay screening fees and try to make as many screenings as possible free for the community.

4. Films submitted to QSFF must focus on LGBTQIA+ characters of colour or have LGBTQIA+ people of colour or in key department head positions. Submitters may highlight their LGBTQIA+ cast and crew members during the submission process, but this is not required.

5. QSFF accepts unsolicited submissions of narrative, documentary, experimental, and music films of any duration through FilmFreeway.

6. QSFF also screens narrative, documentary, experimental, and music films selected by invitation.

7. Short films submitted to QSFF must have been produced within the last two years, while feature films must have been produced within the last three years.

8. We highly encourage DIY and independent films from marginalized individuals and groups to submit their work.

9. Premiere status is not required for films to be screened at QSFF.

10. Films that have received a theatrical or streaming release in Ireland are eligible for consideration at QSFF.

13. QSFF will not alter selected films in any way to meet the festival's technical screening specifications.

14. If a film is accepted by QSFF, stills and trailers provided by the submitter may be used for promotional purposes.

15. Due to the selective nature of QSFF curators’ approach to film festival outcomes, we will not provide feedback on submission.

16. All information submitted to QSFF through FilmFreeway will be held in strict confidence in accordance with GDPR guidelines, and data will only be used for evaluating submissions.

17. Submission of a film indicates agreement with these terms.
