The Queensland Touring Film Festival is a major touring film event for regional and rural Queensland running 10 film festivals a year spread throughout major and rural centers. This is a combination of industry, and community events provide a diverse audience. A key factor in our program is our work in primary and high schools. as a result, we have two programs one as an open category festival and the second as a family-friendly festival. We already receive a large volume of films for the open category festival, however, we need to build our family program and add quality short film content.
We are calling for entries primarily for family friendly content, no coarse language, and no excessive violence. We will have the festival classified for screening and will provide an end of year update on the success of your film.

They don't need to be kids films we are simply after family-friendly films.

There will be an online announcement at the end of each tour being June, where we will announce the award-winning films. All the awards below are for family-friendly films.
films will be judged by an industry professional panel and also but the 10 communities they tour in.
Best Family Short
Best Direction
Audience Choice
Best Animation
Best Actor Male/Female
Best Documentary (provided there are more than two selected to tour.)

In addition to the awards, each film will be paid screening fee's every time their film is shown. we will make a selection of 20 short films, out of those each community will have 10 screened. Some will screen at multiple festivals however others will only screen at one or two depending on the community needs. Payment is fixed at $10 per location.

Films have to be no older than 1 year from the call for entries date. (this year no older than June 2017.)
Films must be no longer than 20mins, there is no minimum run time.
Films are accepted worldwide
Films must be considered family friendly for the awards above, on occasion we will be able to screen open category film festivals on tour so we can accept open category films. But please specify if they are family friendly as there is a major focus on them in the selection process.
