The Pueblo Horror Film Festival is an annual event that celebrates the power of indie film in the genres of sci-fi/thriller/horror. Now in its inaugural year, this Southern Colorado festival is accepting short film submissions for entry into this season’s event.

With so much festival noise out there, our mission at StoryMode Films is to provide a place for indie filmmakers to showcase their work, in an environment that is like no other.

As a spinoff fest to our annual SISFA Film Festival, this night of terror and horror truly recognizes the lasting impact of the genre. Hold on to your seats, for there are more than monsters that go bump in the night...
------------
The SISFA Film Festival was initially created fifteen years ago by two filmmaking brothers and their grandfather, under the Short Film Awards name. In the early years, the festival brought local family and friends together to share in a small film gathering at a very tiny venue.

Over time, the festival has evolved into one of the biggest and most anticipated annual film events in Southern Colorado, bringing in filmmakers and film fans from all across the US to share in an artistic celebration of visual storytelling every spring.

In StoryMode's unique fashion, SISFA mixes the aspects of a regular film festival with that of an interactive live stage show, creating an 'Experience' you truly cannot see anywhere else.

The Pueblo Horror Film Festival is SISFA’s first spinoff event, highlighting the great genres of science fiction, horror, and thriller.

The Horror Fest will kick off with an exciting Live opening sequence that will be sure to get the thrills started! This will then be followed by a presentation of selected short films; featuring a mix of new shorts, classic SISFA horror shorts, & new shorts made by Colorado filmmakers!

The evening showcase will also feature filmmaker Q & A’s, Live voting, and an awards ceremony unlike any you’ve seen before!

The festival will then conclude with the Horror After Party, where filmmakers and film fans alike can gather to relax, network and celebrate.

There are seven headlining categories for the Short Film Competition: Best Script, Best Cinematography, Best Post Production, Best Performance, Best Colorado Short, Best Picture, & Audience Choice.

All winners will receive a unique, horror-themed trophy, so frightening you’ll be dying to take one home with you.
