The mission here, at Prodigy Film Festival, is to discover the most innovative student, indie and international films with an aim to showcase and recognise raw talent. We also believe in nurturing talent from a young age and will look into this as we judge, focusing on natural aptitude shown from each young performer.

We'll also be awarding winning laurels, on the day of the online event, for Special Recognition. In previous years we've awarded the Elysium, Vision, Eden, Arcadia and Genesis awards to contributors from miscellaneous categories that didn't fall under any of the main ones, which included but not limited to: Outstanding Performances, Most Anticipated Music In A Trailer, Best Documentary, Most Original Concept, Most Powerful Narrative, Best Film Poster Design & much more.

At Prodigy, we love good competition, but we value team work and industry support more.

Due to recent events globally, we hope that you are all keeping well and, as always, we want to highlight that we are an inclusive festival encouraging submissions from filmmakers of ALL backgrounds.

We look forward to bringing you our third annual Prodigy Film Festival and we look forward to your submissions from June 2020!

Nicholas and the others were professional and efficient in every communication. The event was a fun and positive experience in which I was able to learn of some great upcoming projects. The judges awarded based on artistic merit, it was not a popularity contest as some other festivals are.

    Hi Takani,

First of all, apologies for the late reply to your review.

Thank you for your very kind words about the event. I'm glad you found it to be a fun and positive experience! We did try to award based on artistic merit, for sure, and yes, we try to be a little different from other festivals and award across the board with a little more variety.

Hope all is going well for you and your team and hopefully see you again soon...

    Best wishes,

    Nicholas

No Communication from the organiser, don't think the event even took place, thumbs down

    Response from festival:

    Hi Lewis,

We're very sorry you felt that you had to give us a bad review. As for communication, we did email you on 20/11/18 at 13.40 to inform you that your film had been nominated 3 times! You then proceeded to reply and we had correspondence. The event did, in fact, take place online (which was also explained in the email) on 01/12/18.

The only bad point on our part is responding so late to this review as we've been busy throughout the year on other projects, so apologies for that.

Hope this clears up any misunderstanding,

    Best wishes,

    Nicholas
