Premios Pávez - Festival Internacional de Cine de Talavera de la Reina

OBJETO

Los Premios Pávez – Festival Internacional de Cine de Talavera de la Reina, organizado por la Asociación Cultural Trax Trex Trix, tiene como principal objetivo el fomento de la cultura audiovisual a través de la promoción del formato corto y el descubrimiento de nuevas fórmulas y narrativas cinematográficas, así como la creación de una programación basada en la diversidad, innovación e igualdad y la promoción de la cultura sostenible, la accesibilidad y la alfabetización audiovisual.
CONDICIONES GENERALES
- Podrán participar todas aquellas personas físicas, mayores de edad, de nacionalidad de cualquier país iberoamericano (Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba Chile, República Dominicana, Ecuador, El Salvador, España, Guatemala, Honduras, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Perú, Portugal, Uruguay y Venezuela), empadronadas en cualquiera de estos territorios y/o personas jurídicas legalmente constituidas en los países anteriormente citados, titulares de los cortometrajes que presenten.
- Serán admitidas a concurso todas las obras cuya fecha de producción sea posterior al 1 de enero de 2023.
- La duración máxima de los cortometrajes no superará los treinta minutos (30:00) con créditos incluidos.
- Se admiten obras de ficción y no ficción (documental), en acción real o animación.
- Todas las películas deberán estar subtituladas en castellano.
- Los cortometrajes presentados a concurso no podrán estar alojados en ningún portal de Internet destinado a su libre visionado.

FECHAS
La XI Edición del festival se celebrará entre el 18 y el 26 de OCTUBRE de 2024 en Talavera de la Reina.
La programación completa estará disponible en nuestra página web y RRSS, y será comunicada con antelación suficiente a los y las representantes de las obras programadas.
BASES LEGALES 2024

CONDICIONES ESPECÍFICAS
- En la ceremonia de clausura del Festival, que tendrá lugar el sábado 26 de octubre de 2024, deberá haber representación del equipo técnico y/o artístico de los cortometrajes que optan a premio, en cualquiera de sus categorías.
- Existen cuatro categorías de inscripción: Nacional, Internacional, Autonómico y Local (con el fin de conocer la procedencia de los cortometrajes presentados); y cinco secciones oficiales a concurso en las que las películas pueden participar: Sección Oficial (España), Sección Talavera en corto (Local), Sección Oficial Internacional (Iberoamérica), Sección Animación y Sección Documental. Los cortometrajes programados en la Sección Oficial Nacional y la Sección AnimaDocu (Animación y Documental) se seleccionarán de entre los inscritos a Nacional, Autonómico y Local.
- Asimismo, se informa a los y las participantes de la existencia de varias secciones de muestra NO COMPETITIVAS. Cualquier cortometraje inscrito en el festival podrá ser considerado para formar parte de la selección de muestra no competitiva si así lo considera el Comité de selección. Estos cortometrajes no optan a premio.

SECCIÓN OFICIAL NACIONAL
El cortometraje deberá cumplir al menos una de estas condiciones: Realizador/a natural o empadronado/a en España, cortometraje rodado en España, y/o productora con domicilio fiscal en el país.
SECCIÓN INTERNACIONAL
El cortometraje deberá cumplir al menos una de estas condiciones: Realizador/a natural o empadronado/a en los países iberoamericanos, cortometraje rodado y/o productora con domicilio fiscal en alguno de estos países.
SECCIÓN ANIMADOCU
CATEGORÍA ANIMACIÓN: Los cortometrajes inscritos deberán estar realizados íntegramente en animación, y CATEGORÍA DOCUMENTAL.
SECCIÓN TALAVERA EN CORTO (LOCAL)
El cortometraje deberá cumplir al menos una de estas condiciones: Realizador/a natural o empadronado/a en Talavera de la Reina, cortometraje rodado en Talavera de la Reina, y/o productora con domicilio fiscal en la ciudad.
PÁVEZ CMM (AUTONÓMICO) El cortometraje deberá cumplir al menos una de estas condiciones: Realizador/a natural o empadronado/a en Castilla La-Mancha, cortometraje rodado en dicha comunidad, y/o productora con domicilio fiscal en la comunidad autónoma.

autores/as de las obras podrán rellenar el siguiente formulario:

BASES LEGALES 2024

MECÁNICA
- Películas seleccionadas: cortometrajes que serán proyectados en alguna de las
secciones del festival, competitiva o no competitiva.
- Películas nominadas: aquellos cortometrajes que, una vez valorados por el
jurado correspondiente, obtienen esta condición y la posibilidad de ganar premios
en la ceremonia de clausura y entrega de los Pávez. Habrá cuatro (4) nominadas
por cada categoría.
- Películas ganadoras: surgen del fallo del jurado correspondiente a cada sección.
Habrá un (1) ganador por cada categoría.

SELECCIÓN

Un comité de selección y visionado constituido por el equipo de organización de los Premios Pávez seleccionará los cortometrajes de Sección oficial, Sección Internacional y Sección AnimaDocu (Categoría Animación y Categoría Documental) para su posterior valoración por el jurado. También se encontrará entre sus funciones programar las secciones de muestra.
En el caso de la categoría Local, el comité de selección encargado de la misma estará formado por personalidades reconocidas de la ciudad de Talavera de la Reina. El comité de selección se compromete a visionar la totalidad de las obras recibidas. Así mismo, este comité podrá desestimar cualquier obra que no se adecúe a los estándares de calidad técnica para ser proyectado en sala. El comité de selección valorará muy positivamente que las películas cuenten con certificado de calificación del ICAA, así como los estrenos en el festival.
Los/las participantes que resulten seleccionados/as serán notificados/as mediante correo electrónico y/o llamada telefónica entre julio y agosto de 2024. Una vez comunicada la selección, los y las participantes tendrán un máximo de 15 días para aceptar la selección y enviar el material requerido. De no ser así, se entenderá que la selección queda rechazada, por lo que se podrá desestimar su
participación en el Festival.
Los participantes seleccionados deberán enviar el material promocional de sus
cortometrajes (3 fotogramas, tráiler, sinopsis, ficha técnica y biofilmografía del
director/a), en el plazo de 15 días naturales una vez comunicada la selección por
parte del festival y aceptada por el cortometraje participante. Los fines de uso de dicho material serán exclusivamente publicitarios.

Las copias de exhibición de todas las obras seleccionadas serán enviadas en .mov o .mp4 en la mayor calidad posible, con subtítulos en castellano, tanto incrustados como sin incrustar. Además, para las obras seleccionadas en las secciones Oficial, Internacional y Local, el festival también exigirá una copia en DCP. Estos archivos tendrán que ser enviados al festival en el plazo de 15 días naturales una vez comunicada la selección por parte del festival y aceptada por el cortometraje participante.

JURADOS
OFICIAL: compuesto por profesionales del mundo de la cultura y las artes
audiovisuales a nivel nacional. Este jurado determinará las nominaciones y elegirá
los/las ganadores/as de cada categoría técnica y artística de entre los
cortometrajes que componen la Sección Oficial. Las nominaciones (4 por categoría) serán notificadas a partir de septiembre de 2024.
INTERNACIONAL: compuesto por personalidades reconocidas y relacionadas
con el ámbito cultural internacional de los países representantes y/o con el
fomento de la cinematografía iberoamericana.
JOVEN: compuesto por jóvenes interesados/as en la cultura cinematográfica que visionarán y valorarán los cortometrajes de la sección AnimaDocu y serán los responsables de otorgar los premios en las categorías de animación y documental.
LOCAL: compuesto por distinguidas personalidades del ámbito cultural de la ciudad de Talavera de la Reina y/o la región de Castilla La-Mancha. Fallará el premio a Mejor Película Local.
PREMIO CMM: compuesto por profesionales de la entidad pública regional.
Determinará el cortometraje ganador del Pávez CMM a la Mejor Película de
Castilla-La Mancha.
Los fallos del comité de selección y del jurado son inapelables. El jurado se
reserva el derecho de declarar desierto un premio en caso de que lo estime
oportuno.

El total de los premios asciende a 5.700 € y 18 estatuillas Pávez.

competitiva en la que hayan sido seleccionadas.

Todos los premios en metálico están sujetos a las retenciones que determine la
legalidad vigente y se ingresarán previo envío de factura correspondiente.
*El Pávez CMM será otorgado por la Televisión Pública de Castilla-La Mancha.
Todos los cortometrajes autonómicos pasarán directamente a concursar en esta
categoría. El cortometraje ganador deberá ceder los derechos de exhibición del
mismo a la televisión pública, mediante acuerdo entre las partes y tras la firma de
contrato, a cambio de una compensación económica de 1000 euros. Tanto dicho
acuerdo como el consecuente pago se realizarán directamente con Castilla-La
Mancha Media. La Organización de los Premios Pávez se compromete a poner en
contacto a ambas partes.

PRESELECCIÓN PREMIOS GOYA

Los Premios Pávez – Festival nacional de cortometrajes de Talavera de la Reina
forman parte del listado de festivales calificadores para los Premios Goya en las
categorías de Mejor Cortometraje de Ficción, Mejor Cortometraje Documental y
Mejor Cortometraje de Animación.
Los seleccionados en Sección Oficial y Animación optarán a la preselección de los Premios Goya y el ganador de los
premios a Mejor Película Nacional y Mejor Película de Animación calificarán para la próxima edición de los Premios Goya.

ACUERDOS LEGALES
- El material recibido de los cortometrajes que finalmente resulten seleccionados quedará recogido en el archivo de la asociación.
- Las participantes se responsabilizan de que las obras presentadas no estén sometidas a ninguna reclamación legal y se encuentren dentro de lo establecido por la ley de Propiedad Intelectual. En cualquier caso, la organización del festival declina todo tipo de responsabilidad sobre el contenido ilícito de las obras recibidas.
- La organización se reserva el derecho de exhibición de los cortometrajes seleccionados en el marco del festival, así como la utilización de las imágenes y material promocional de las películas para publicidad y/o promoción del evento en cualquiera de sus ediciones.
- Una vez concluido el Festival, las obras seleccionadas podrán pasar a formar parte del CIRCUITO Premios Pávez, que incluye acuerdos no lucrativos firmados con festivales y entidades sin ánimo de lucro para la exhibición de los cortometrajes seleccionados. Las obras se proyectarán bajo consentimiento de sus autores y se les informará con la antelación suficiente de las sesiones y condiciones de exhibición. - Se informa a los y las participantes de que el Festival podrá celebrarse de manera híbrida, por lo que la inscripción al festival está condicionada a la aceptación de esta condición. Los cortometrajes se alojarán siempre en una plataforma segura y que requerirá de inscripción previa para el visionado.

INFORMACIÓN ADICIONAL
- Todos/as los/las participantes aceptan íntegramente las presentes bases
legales, así como la resolución por parte de la organización de cualquier problema no recogido en éstas.
- La organización se reserva el derecho a modificar estas bases en el caso de ser necesario. Cualquier cambio introducido en las mismas será comunicado a todas y todos los participantes.

The Pávez awards - Talavera de Reina International Film Festival, organized by the Trax Trex Trix Cultural Association, have as their mission the promotion of audiovisual culture, the promotion of the shortfilms and the discovery of new forms and cinematographic narratives through of an innovative, diverse and egalitarian programming.

Other major objectives of this festival is the promotion of cinematography through audiovisual literacy and accessibility, as well as the commitment to sustainable cultural production and consumption.

The XI Edition of the festival will be held in OCTOBER 2024, in Talavera de la Reina.

The full schedule will be available on our website and RRSS, and will be communicated well in advance to the representatives of the scheduled works.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

- Natural persons, legal age, of nationality or legal residents of any Ibero-American country may participate (Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Uruguay and Venezuela), and/or legal entities legally constituted in the aforementioned countries, owners of the short films they present.

- All works whose production date is after January 1, 2023 will be admitted to the contest.

- The maximum duration of the short films will not exceed thirty minutes (30:00) with credits included.

- Works of fiction and non-fiction (documentary), live action or animation are admitted.

- All shorfilms must have spanish subtitles.

- The short films submitted to the contest may not be hosted on any Internet portal intended for free viewing.

- At the closing ceremony of the Festival, which will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, there must be representation of the technical and/or artistic team of the short films that are competing for the award, in any of its categories.

-There are five competition sections in which films can participate: Official Section (Spain), Talavera Short Section (Local), International Section (Ibero america), Animation Section and Documentary Section. The short films programmed in the Official Section and the AnimaDocu Section (Animation and Documentary) will be selected among those registered for National, Regional and Local.

- Likewise, the participants are informed of the existence of NON-COMPETITIVE sample sections. Any short film registered in any of the festival sections can become part of the non-competitive sample selection if so considered by the Selection Committee. These short films are not eligible for an award.

- Each work may be registered in several categories, as long as it meets the general and specific conditions of each one of them.

- The selected participants must send promotional material about their short films (3 frames, trailer, synopsis, technical sheet and biofilmography of the director), when the festival organization so requests. The purposes of use of said material will be
exclusively advertising.

- The exhibition copies of all the selected works will be sent in .mov or .mp4 in the professional quality.
In addition, for the works selected in the Official, International and Local sections, a copy will be required in DCP.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS

1. OFFICIAL SECTION: The short film must meet at least one of these conditions: Director natural or registered in Spain, short filmed in Spain, and/or producer with tax address in the country.

2. INTERNATIONAL SECTION: The short film must meet at least one of these conditions: Director/a natural or registered in Ibero-American countries (Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Uruguay and Venezuela), short film shot and/or production company with tax address in one of the aforementioned countries.

3. ANIMATED SECTION. ANIMATION CATEGORY: The registered short films must be made completely in animation, and DOCUMENTARY CATEGORY.

4. LOCAL. The short film must meet at least one of these conditions: Filmmaker, natural or registered in Talavera de la Reina, short filmed in Talavera de la Reina, and/or producer with tax address in the town.

REGISTRATION

NATIONAL, REGIONAL AND LOCAL

MECHANICS

- Selected short films: short films that will be screened in one of the competitive or non-competitive sections of the festival.

- Nominated short films: those short films that, once evaluated by the corresponding jury, obtain this condition and the possibility of winning prizes at the closing ceremony of the Pávez awards.There will be four (4) nominees for each category of Official Section.

- Winning short films: arise from the decision of the jury corresponding to each section. There will be one (1) winner for each category.

SELECTION

A selection and viewing committee made up of the Pávez awards organization team will select the short films from the Official Section, International Section and AnimaDocu Section (Animation Category and Documentary Category), for subsequent evaluation by the jury. It will also be among its functions to program the no competitive sections.

In the case of the Local category, the selection committee in charge of it will be made up of well-known personalities from the city of Talavera de la Reina.

The selection committee undertakes to view all the works received. Likewise, this committee may reject any short film that does not meet the technical quality standards to be screened in the theater.

The selected participants will be notified by email and/or phone call between July and August 2024.

JURIES

- OFFICIAL SECTION: Professionals from the world of culture and audiovisual arts at a national level. This jury will choose the nominees and winners of each technical and artistic category (from among the short films that make up the Official Section). The nominees for each category (4 per category) will be notified as of September 2023.

- INTERNATIONAL SECTION: Well-known personalities related to the international cultural sphere of the representative countries and/or to the promotion of Ibero-American cinematography.

- LOCAL SECTION: Well-known personalities related to the cultural sphere of the Castilla-La Mancha Region or the town of Talavera de la Reina.

- ANIMADOCU SECTION (Animation and Documentary): Young people interested in cinematographic culture who will watch and value the short films of both categories.

The decisions of the selection committee and the jury are final. The jury reserves the right to declare a prize void if it deems it appropriate. awards AND CATEGORIES

Cash prizes are subject to withholdings determined by current legislation and will be paid after sending the corresponding invoice.

PRESELECTION FOR THE GOYA awards

The Pávez awards – Talavera de Reina International Film Festival are part of the list of qualifying festivals for the Goya awards in the categories of Best Fiction Short Film, Best Documentary Short Film and Best Animated Film.

The winner of the Best National Film award and Best Animated film will qualify for the next edition of the Goya awards.

LEGAL AGREEMENTS

- The material received from the short films that are finally selected will be archived in the association's audiovisual library.

- The participants are responsible that the short films presented are not subject to any legal claim and are within the provisions of the Intellectual Property Law. In any case, the festival organization declines all kinds of responsibility for the illegal content of the works received.

- The organization reserves the right to display the short films selected within the framework of the festival, as well as the use of said material for publicity and/or promotion of the event in any of its editions.

- Once the Festival is over, the selected works may become part of the Pávez awards CIRCUIT, which includes non-profit agreements signed with festivals and non-profit entities for the exhibition of the selected short films. The works will be screened with the consent of their authors and they will be informed sufficiently in advance of the exhibition sessions and conditions.

- The participants are informed that the Festival may be held in a hybrid manner. Therefore, the registration to the festival is conditioned to the acceptance of this condition. The short films will always be hosted on a secure platform and never open, with prior registration.

- All the participants fully accept these legal bases, as well as the resolution by the organization of any problem not included in them.

- The organization reserves the right to modify these bases if necessary. Any change introduced in them will be communicated to each and every participant.
