Playbox Shorts Festival is a student film festival held in Zagreb, Croatia. The festival's goal is to promote the work of young filmmakers and provide them with a platform to showcase their work to a wider audience.
The first edition of the festival was held on October 14, 2023, at the Forum Cinema in Zagreb. The festival featured five short fiction films directed by students from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.
The second edition of the festival will take place from October 10 to 12, 2024, in Zagreb. The festival will feature twelve short fiction films directed by students from all around the world.
The festival is organized by the student association Playbox Production, which is dedicated to promoting film and video art.
The festival jury is composed of film professionals and students. The jury will select the best films in the following categories:
