Il PiFF Pinerolo Film Festival è organizzato dall'associazione culturale Wel Theater and Movie aps. Nasce per valorizzare il cinema indipendente con un occhio di riguardo alle opere prodotte in Piemonte (Italia) e per portare alla ribalta temi di grande impatto sociale e umano, temi che valorizzano il territorio e temi dedicati ai bambini, ragazzi e adolescenti. Promuove la diffusione di opere di alto valore artistico, capaci di contribuire alla crescita culturale. Saranno selezionati cortometraggi internazionali e nazionali, con una giornata dedicata ai bambini/ragazzi, una giornata dedicata ai temi sociali, una giornata dedicata ai cortometraggi realizzati in Piemonte e una giornata dedicata agli autori FEDIC (Federazione Italiana Cineclub). Le proiezioni saranno svolte nella sede dell'associazione culturale WEL Theater and Movie aps che organizza il festival e in un cinema della città di Pinerolo. Il festival si conclude con la giornata finale di proiezioni al cinema dei corti finalisti e con la premiazione dei vincitori delle quattro categorie, che sono appunto : bambini/ragazzi, temi sociali, Piemonte, FEDIC.

The PiFF Pinerolo Film Festival is organized by the cultural association Wel Theater and Movie aps. Born to enhance independent cinema with an eye on Piedmont (Italy) and to bring to the fore themes of great social and human impact, Themes that enhance the territory and themes dedicated to children, young people and adolescents. Promotes the dissemination of products of high artistic value, capable of contributing to cultural growth. International and national short films will be selected, with a day dedicated to children/young people, a day dedicated to social themes , a day dedicated to short films made in Piedmont and a day dedicated to the authors FEDIC (Italian Federation Cineclub). The screenings will be held at the headquarters of the cultural association WEL Theater and Movie aps that organizes the festival and in a cinema of the city of Pinerolo. The festival ends with a final day of screenings at the cinema of the short finalists and the awarding of the winners of the four categories, which are precisely: children/ boys, social themes, Piedmont, FEDIC.

Il Pinerolo Fim Festival assegna premi e riconoscimenti per celebrare le opere cinematografiche che meglio incarnano i valori e le tematiche del festival.

Montepremio totale 1000 euro.

Premio cinema giovani: al miglior cortometraggio che tratta tematiche per bambini/ragazzi, valorizzando anche l'aspetto educativo oltre a quello ludico.

Premio cinema Sociale: al miglio cortometraggio che affronta con sensibilità e profondità tematiche sociali, sottolineando l'importanza di un cinema responsabile e strumento di riflessione e dialogo sociale e rispetto dell'ambiente e sostenibilità.

Premio cinema Piemonte: al miglior cortometraggio che valorizza il territorio Piemontese e la sua cultura.

Premio PIFF cortometraggi FEDIC (Cineclub Fedic Italia)

Premio del Pubblico: votato dal pubblico presente alle proiezioni.

Premio al miglior Attore, Attrice adulti e Attore, Attrice ragazzi e bambini.

The Pinerolo Fim Festival awards prizes and awards to celebrate the films that best embody the values and themes of the festival.

Prize pool total 1000 euro.

Young cinema award: for the best short film that deals with children/teenagers' themes, also emphasizing the educational aspect as well as the playful one.

Premio cinema Sociale: a short film that addresses with sensitivity and depth social themes, emphasizing the importance of a responsible cinema and an instrument for reflection and social dialogue and respect for the environment and sustainability.

Piedmont Cinema Award: for the best short film that highlights the Piedmontese territory and its culture.

PIFF Prize for short films FEDIC (Cineclub Fedic Italia)

Audience Award: voted by the audience present at the screenings.

CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE
Il concorso è aperto alle opere italiane e internazionali realizzate dopo il 1 gennaio 2022.

Cortometraggi: Sezione per opere sotto i 20 minuti, appartenenti a vari generei cinematografici (fiction, animazioni, documentari). Per la proiezione dei film finalisti, è necessario avere i sottotitoli in italiano o inglese.

CONDIZIONI DI PARTECIPAZIONE, QUOTE E SCADENZA
L'iscrizione al Festival deve avvenire esclusivamente tramite FilmFreeway.
Ogni partecipante può inviare più di un'opera, con una quota di iscrizione per ciascun film come indicato sulla piattaforma FFW.
Scadenza iscrizioni: 17 giugno.
Gli iscritti sono responsabili di assicurare che il contenuto dell'opera sia conforme ai diritti d'autore e alle normative vigenti.

FILM SELEZIONATI
Il Festival selezionerà le opere in base a una valutazione esclusiva e insindacabile.
Solo i film "finalisti" saranno proiettati e devono disporre di sottotitoli in italiano o inglese. Gli autori delle opere selezionate saranno notificati via email. Una volta accettato l'invito, un film selezionato non può essere ritirato.

FORMATI DI PROIEZIONE
La sala di proiezione dei finalisti dispone di proiettore DCP, mentre per la prima fase di selezione e proiezione non dispone di DCP , quindi i formati accettati sono :

File digitale in formato MOV o MP4 con sottotitoli in formato .srt ( italiano e/o inglese)
Per la proiezione alla finale invece : DCP, file in formato H264HD o QuickTine ProRes.

Le proiezioni saranno in lingua originale, accompagnate da sottotitoli.

NORME GENERALI
La partecipazione alla selezione implica l'accettazione integrale del presente regolamento. La Direzione del Festival si riserva il diritto di prendere decisioni su questioni non previste. I dati personali trasmessi saranno trattati solo per finalità inerenti la partecipazione al festival.
Inoltre il Festival di Pinerolo:

1. Non offre alcun contributo per spese di viaggi e soggiorno.
2. Consegna di presenza Premi e Riconoscimenti speciali in sala.
3. Spedisce i premi o Trofei fisici ai non presenti in sala solo su richiesta e con un contributo per le spese di spedizione.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
The competition is open to Italian and international works made after 1 January 2022.

Short films: Section for works under 20 minutes, belonging to various genres of cinema (fiction, animation, documentary). For the screening of the finalists, it is necessary to have subtitles in Italian or English.

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION, FEES AND EXPIRY
Registration for the Festival must be made exclusively through FilmFreeway.
Each participant may submit more than one work, with a registration fee for each film as indicated on the FFW platform.
Registration deadline: 17 June.
Subscribers are responsible for ensuring that the content of the work complies with copyright and applicable laws.

SELECTED FILMS
The Festival will select the works on the basis of an exclusive and uncontestable evaluation.
Only the "finalists" films will be screened and must have subtitles in Italian or English. The authors of selected works will be notified by email. Once accepted, a film selected cannot be withdrawn.

PROJECTION FORMATS
The finalists' screening room has a DCP projector, while for the first phase of selection and projection it does not have any DCP , so the formats accepted are:

Digital file in MOV or MP4 format with subtitles in. srt format ( Italian and/or English)
For the final screening instead: DCP, file in H264HD format or QuickTine ProRes.

The screenings will be in original language, accompanied by subtitles.

GENERAL RULES
Participation in the selection implies full acceptance of these rules. The Festival Management reserves the right to make decisions on unforeseen matters. The personal data transmitted will be processed only for the purposes related to the participation in the festival.

In addition, the Pinerolo Festival:

1. It does not provide any assistance for travel and accommodation expenses.
2. Delivery of Special Awards and Recognition in the hall.
3. Sends prizes or physical Trophies to those not present at the ceremony only upon request and with a contribution towards shipping costs.
