Applications are now officially open for the latest edition of the Pigneto Film Festival (PFF) Cine-Residenza, scheduled to take place in Rome from 3 to 10 October 2026.
The Pigneto Film Festival remains a unique experience on the Italian and international film scene: founded as an artistic residency, every year it transforms the Pigneto neighbourhood into an open-air film set, a creative workshop where cinema, the local area and the community come together.
The Cine-Residenza is at the heart of the festival: an opportunity for international filmmakers to develop a short film based on a secret theme, assigned at the start of the residency. In an immersive, collaborative and highly creative environment, the selected directors will work side by side with crews made up of young professionals, film students, actors and local volunteers.
During a week of intense activity, all stages of production – from writing to filming, right through to post-production – will take place entirely in Pigneto, transforming the neighbourhood into a widespread hub of audiovisual experimentation.
