Persephone Dunn (They/he/she) is a queer filmmaker based in Richmond, Virginia. They wrote and shot the short film "To My Love, As You Sleep" and in collaboration with their partner. Their directorial feature debut "Nymphs on Granite Rock" is set to debut in late 2024. Born in Northern Virginia in 2003, Persephone grew up with a love for the arts. Their passion for film led them to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema at Virginia Commonwealth University where they will graduate in May 2024. They also directed the VCU Cinema short film “I’m With the Band” in July 2024. They strive to tell authentic character driven stories that make others feel seen, their work encompassing themes such as queer joy and pain, mental health struggles, and substance abuse.
