Pavel Tomanec was born on February 9th, 1977, in Sokolov, Czechia (formerly the Kingdom of Bohemia). Following his formal education, he spent sixteen years as a monk in a Krishna tradition monastery in rural Hertfordshire, England, where he received the Sanskrit name Param. In 2004, he moved to Oxford to pursue studies in Art Photography and and Cinema. He gained recognition for his self-assigned multidisciplinary project, Rasa Yatra (2012), the inaugural film in his trilogy. Param is now engaged in creating the second offering for the trilogy, a collection of shorter films comparable to a music album, with each piece serving as a visual song.
