KALAKAR is presenting the first-ever Pakistan Film Festival in Australia which showcases Pakistani culture, heritage, content creators and emerging filmmakers.

PFFA accepts all kinds of genres which will be included in the competition.

In the past few years, the world has acknowledged the boom in the Pakistani film industry.
The festival is to encourage the young filmmakers to screen their work at the international level to the Australian audience.
PFFA will be a great platform for professionals to exhibit their work on a global scale.

All the shortlisted films will be screened in Hoyts Cinema Sydney.


Best Film A$500

• Total run time of content should not exceed 20 minutes.
• One of the KEY CREATIVES (Writer/Director/Producer/Editor/Principal Actor) must be from a Pakistani background.
• All films that are in a language other than English must be subtitled in English.
• Films can be in any GENRE (Drama, Documentary, Animation, etc).
• For marketing purpose Deliverables: Posters, Trailor, Synopsis, Logline, name of Cast and Crew members are required.
• In submitting your film, you give PFFA the rights to:
- screen your film in the 2021 PFFA.
- use a section of your film for promotional purposes
• PFFA takes no responsibility for any breach of copyright by other parties.
• In submitting your film, you must have obtained all the necessary permissions to enter your film, and your film must not infringe the rights, including copyright, of any third party. This includes the use of music and literary material.
• The Judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entertained.
• Submission fees are non-refundable.
• Shortlisted films for screening must be provided in DCP Format.
• Films must be submitted by the deadline.
• Submissions are exclusively through FilmFreeway website.
• All Entrants must agree to the Terms and Conditions as a condition of entry to the PFFA.
