Broadcasting live from the heart of Los Angeles, PUBLIC ACCESS is a third-year cinematic takeover dedicated to the raw, the unfiltered, and the unapologetically independent. We are moving beyond the standard "screening" to create a fully immersive, nostalgic analog experience.

THE VIBE:
Think 1980s late-night community television. Our festival is programmed like a lost broadcast tape—complete with original lo-fi bumpers, faux news updates, retro "local" commercials, and bizarre cartoons. Your film isn't just a submission; it’s a featured segment in the ultimate underground variety hour.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are calling for the boldest voices in the indie scene across three categories:

FILM: Short-form masterpieces (under 10 minutes) that demand to be seen on the big screen.

SCREENPLAY: Tight, punchy writing (10-30 pages) ready for a live scene reading.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Visual storytelling that pushes boundaries.

Rules & Terms

GENERAL FESTIVAL RULES

Originality: All submissions must be the original work of the creator.

AI Policy: STRICT NO-AI POLICY. Any work found to be generated, in whole or in part, by Artificial Intelligence will be automatically disqualified without a refund.

Attendance Policy: We are a community-focused festival. While any filmmaker or creator may be selected for screening/display, a representative must be present at the live event to be eligible for awards and trophies.

Rights & Clearances: By submitting, you verify that you own all rights (including music, stock footage, and talent releases). Pink Moose Productions is not responsible for any copyright infringements.

Promotional Use: PMP reserves the right to use snippets, stills, or clips from selected works for promotional purposes and festival "bumpers."

FILM FESTIVAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Runtime: Films must be 10 minutes or less (including credits).
- Year of Completion: Work must have been completed after January 1, 2024.
- Final Cut: Films are judged as submitted. No "updated versions" will be accepted after the deadline.

FILE FORMAT: Apple ProRes 422 HQ
ASPECT RATIO: 16x9
HD RESOLUTION: UHD 3840 x 2160 (Preferred) 1920x1080 (Minimum)
VIDEO FRAME RATE: 23.976 OR 29.97
AUDIO FORMAT: Data rate = 384kbps OR 24-bit uncompressed (PCM)
FILE SIZE: Please keep exhibition files under 10GB.

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
- Submission Limit: Maximum of 3 images per photographer. If more than 3 images are submitted, Pink Moose reserves the right to select only the first 3 uploaded for consideration at our discretion.
- Recency: Photos must have been taken within the last 2 years.
- Personal Work: No commercial/work-for-hire projects; we want your personal artistic voice.

Exhibition Specs:
FORMAT: High-Resolution JPEG or PNG.
COLOR PROFILE: sRGB or Adobe RGB.
RESOLUTION: Minimum 300 DPI (for physical print quality).

DISQUALIFICATION NOTICE
Any submission found in violation of the above rules, including runtime/page count errors or the use of AI, will be disqualified. Refunds will not be issued for disqualified entries.
