The Perth Queer Film Festival is back in 2026 for our 10th Festival. The 2026 festival promises a wide range of queer films to entice, excite and thrill our local audiences.

Running from March 4 -11 and showing at the Backlot Perth we aim to bring a range of diverse and interesting LGBTQI films and documentaries to the Festival.

This year the Festival will head on the road with trips planned to at least 3 regional cities to share mini-festivals with local LGBTQI communities after our successful regional trips in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

With an exclusive opening night event and the chance to see some of the best new Queer Films this is the only Queer Film Festival on the West Coast of Australia.

An amazing festival, with passionate and engaged audiences. Our film Small Town Pride screened with a beautifully curated selection of shorts and we had a wonderful experience connecting with the organisers and the audience. Highly recommend being part of this festival.

Extremely grateful for our film SOYBOY to be selected to screen at such a wonderful and inclusive festival. Incredibly clear and efficient communication from the beginning and so professional.

Can't wait for the opportunity to be a part of the festival again soon.

Mark and Annette run a solid festival. They put inordinate amounts of thought, consideration and care into the selection, programming and screening stages of the festival.
In the weeks before I headed over for the screening of my film, they kept in close contact, clearly communicating every step of the way. At the events, they were gregarious, engaged and clearly just "fans of films" in general, rather in the trending guest.

I look forward to the opportunity to take part in this festival again soon.
