PIMPRI CHINCHWAD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (PCIFF)
RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Submission & Eligibility

Entries must be submitted through the official online form along with a valid screening link (Filmfreeway/Google Drive / Vimeo).

The applicant must hold all legal rights, copyrights, and necessary permissions for the submitted film.

2. Format Requirements

Films must be in PAL format for screening. NTSC format will not be accepted.

Accepted formats: MP4 (H.264), MOV, HD Resolution.

The festival will not be responsible for screening issues due to incorrect format or technical errors.

3. Categories & Theme

Films can be submitted under categories such as:

Documentary

Fiction

Non-Fiction

Feature Film

Animation

Experimental

There is no restriction on theme or subject.

4. Duration

Short films must be under 30 minutes, including opening and closing credits.

There is no minimum duration.

5. Language

Films can be in any language.

English subtitles are mandatory for all non-English films.

6. Selection & Jury

All films will be reviewed by an independent Selection Committee & Jury Panel.

The decision of the jury will be final and binding.

No correspondence regarding selection or results will be entertained.

7. Awards & Prizes

Winners will be declared after completion of the festival and verification process.

Cash Awards / Prize Money will be disbursed within 45 days after the festival, subject to successful verification and submission of required documents.

Certificates and Trophies will be presented during the official Award Ceremony.

In case the winning individual/team is not present at the ceremony:

Awards (certificate/trophy) will be sent via courier

Courier charges will be borne by the winner

8. Rights & Festival Usage

By submitting the film, the applicant grants PIMPRI CHINCHWAD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (PCIFF) non-exclusive rights to:

Screen the film during the festival

Use clips, stills, posters for promotion, publicity, and marketing

Showcase the film in non-commercial screenings, partner festivals, cultural and educational events

PCIFF reserves the right to retain and archive copies of submitted films in its festival library.

9. Legal Responsibility

The applicant is solely responsible for:

Copyright clearances

Music and content rights

Third-party permissions

PCIFF shall not be held liable for any legal disputes arising from submitted films.

10. Withdrawal Policy

Once a film is selected for screening, it cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances until the festival concludes.

11. Submission Materials

Each entry must include:

Film / Screening link

Synopsis

Director’s profile

Stills / Posters

Press kit (if available)

All submitted materials will not be returned.

12. Shipping & Costs

All costs related to submission, courier, and transfer of materials must be borne by the applicant.

PCIFF is not responsible for:

Loss or damage of materials

Technical failures

Customs clearance issues

13. Entry Fees

All entry fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.

14. Disqualification Clause

PCIFF reserves the right to reject or disqualify any entry if:

False or misleading information is provided

Required permissions are not obtained

The film violates any applicable laws or festival policies

15. Festival Rights

PCIFF reserves full rights to:

Change screening schedule, venue, or format

Categorize films appropriately

Use submitted materials for future festival promotion and branding

17. Premiere Status & Online Availability (IMPORTANT)

Films that are already publicly available on YouTube, OTT platforms, or any other digital/online streaming platforms before the festival will not be considered for selection.

The film must maintain its premiere status (not publicly released online) until the completion of the festival.

If a film is found to be publicly available online at any stage:

The entry may be rejected or disqualified without prior notice

Any selection or award (if given) may be revoked by the festival

IMP-
As per the applicable rules and regulations of PCIFF, in the event that my film receives an official award or is selected as an official ‘Prism’ selection, I hereby grant my explicit, unconditional, irrevocable, and royalty-free consent to PCIFF to use, exhibit, and screen my film within India and worldwide at various film festivals, events, or venues solely for non-commercial purposes, including promotion, publicity, and outreach (Documentary/Short Film/Feature Film/Animation Film).

Furthermore, I acknowledge and agree that, for the purpose of promoting PCIFF and advancing India’s soft power and related objectives, all necessary rights for non-commercial festival screenings of the aforesaid film shall remain vested with PCIFF on a perpetual, irrevocable, and royalty-free basis.

These rights shall remain unaffected notwithstanding the fact that I may have assigned, transferred, licensed, contracted, or sold any territorial, distribution, broadcasting, or other rights of the said film to any third-party organization or agency.

Submission of the film implies full acceptance of all rules and regulations of PIMPRI CHINCHWAD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (PCIFF).
