Our mission is to empower and celebrate the voices of young filmmakers, providing a dynamic platform for their unique stories to be seen, heard, and celebrated. We believe in the transformative power of cinema to inspire, connect, and shape perspectives. Our festival is a dedicated space where emerging talents, guided by creativity and fueled by passion, come together to showcase their work, build connections, and embark on a journey of cinematic exploration.

Age restriction - This festival is dedicated to young filmmakers between the age of 15 and 29. Filmmakers of all skill levels within this age group are encouraged to submit their work.

Location restriction- Films will only be accepted by artists living in the Ottawa, Ontario region or in Canada. There will be some spots available for National films from across Canada and some for local only.

Short's length - Submitted short films can have a duration of a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 20 minutes . (Including introduction and credits). Films falling outside of this duration will not be considered for selection.

Language and Subtitles - We accept shorts produced in any language. However, if your film is not in English, please ensure it includes English subtitles for screening and judging.

Rights and Permission - By submitting your film, you affirm that you hold all necessary rights and permissions, including music and image rights, for your work.

Content Restrictions - We welcome diverse themes and genres. However, we do not accept films with explicit or offensive content. If explicit content is to be implied by the short, we require that a trigger warning is included in the short. However, absolutely no offensive content will be accepted.

Original Work - Films submitted to our festival must be original creations of the filmmakers or have appropriate licensing for any third-party content used.

    It was a bit disappointing experience, as it seems like festival’s team awarded films that were made by their own members. Also certain films were screened twice (on first and second day) and overall the section of films seemed pretty random
