Oscar Alejandro De La Cruz, known in the artistic world as Oscar Cruz, is a film director, screenwriter and editor of Dominican nationality, born on May 1, 2000. From an early age he has been linked to art, so since the For 14 years, he has been shooting short films that have provided him with rich experiences that have increasingly refined his type of cinema and his creative process.
He has directed and written scripts for short films, feature films, documentaries, commercials, as well as music videos. In 2018, Cruz together with producer Leonel Jack formed the audiovisual production company Reflect 7 Studios, a label under which Cruz has released his most recent projects: Tiempo Muerto, Idilio and Alma Inquebrantable, as well as a large number of music videos.
His areas of specialization are screenwriting and directing, but also cinematography, areas for which he has trained in practice and at an academic level in institutions such as INTEC, Latin American Training Center, SDQ Trainig Center, Guerra Films and with renowned professionals such as the Chilean screenwriter Julio Rojas.
With his film productions he has participated in festivals in his country and abroad such as the Serbest International Film Festival, Fest Cine RD, Libelula Dorada International Film Festival, Lift Off Flobal Network and Dominican Film Festival in New York, winning the latter festival with his Unbreakable Soul project.
