Online Suffering Short Videos Festival is the online event dedicated to people’s personal internal sufferings and misunderstanding, to the betrayal or loneliness, to any form of discrimination or illness. The main aim of the festival is to support people with their personal problems.

The festival is arranged by the same organisators who run the popular and one of the biggest genre film festivals in Europe - International Horror Film Festival and Awards “DROP”. The general goal of the festival is to entertain people. Submitters can be both professional filmmakers, bloggers and ordinary amateur videographers.
This festival is part of the series of festivals created under the common brand “Online Short Videos Festivals”.

Awards & Prizes

The best 3 videos will be combined into 1 short film and will be not only published in the internet, but will be screened LIVE in a big cinema theatre. The 3 winners will receive sponsoring valuable gifts + diplomas. The other selected films will receive laurels and one of the following status: official selection / quarter finalist / semi-finalist / finalist / super finalist. The top 10 will be screened online on the web site and in the social media.

Among the valuable gifts are certificates either for a free DCP converting of a feature film or post-production editing service for a short film.

Rules & Terms

We accept only short videos shot by a smartphone or any other device not longer than 59 minute and not shorter than 5 seconds. Each video should have some concrete message. It can be of any genre. But all videos must tell some story.

The competition consists of 4 stages:
1. Selection among submitters by organisation committee (selected/not selected)
2. Jury vote stage as a result of which all selected films become either quarter-finalists, or semi-finalist, or finalists depending on a mark received from the jury
3. All finalists go to the audience vote stage: films are watched by the public on the web site of the festival and viewers give their votes to the film they like most
4. Top 10 films as a result of the audience vote stage go to the Super final stage in which another jury distributes places among the super finalists between 1 and 10. Top 3 films become the winners of the festival and are screened live in the “World of Arts” cinema theatre.
