The One and Done Film Festival is a vibrant, locally organized event in Boulder, Colorado that showcases exceptional films and unique talents that are otherwise unable to garner a platform.

The event will take place April 17th, 2026 at The Junkyard Social Club in Boulder, Colorado. The beginning of the festival will feature local Colorado bands and will act as an opportunity for featured filmmakers, creators, and art-lovers to come together and discuss their passions before the films begin.

Founded by Dora-Jane Ryan in 2023 as a platform to debut her thesis film, this one-off event quickly evolved into a beloved annual tradition.

From a modest start with 50 attendees, the festival has grown to nearly 300 participants, and we’re expecting even more this year. We proudly welcome submissions from students across the state, ensuring a dynamic and diverse celebration of emerging filmmaking talent.

There will be "Best in Festival," "Best Cinematography," and "Most Original" awards announced at the end of the festival. The winners of these awards will be voted on by festival attendees. Prizes TBA.
