The One Eye Film Festival in Dubbo, Australia was originally created in 2012 as an opportunity for local filmmakers to screen their films.
We have since added categories for other Australian and international filmmakers to share their short films to give local audiences and filmmakers wider exposure to the form.
There are no prizes, there is no theme. We exist to promote filmmaking and film viewing around Dubbo and surrounding areas and to give independent short films a chance to be screened to an enthusiastic live audience.
We want to see as wide a range of films as possible.
All genres welcome.

Anything you can think of!
Films do not necessarily need to be family friendly but we will not consider films with overly-graphic sex or violence.
We strongly encourage you to include with your project files at least one photo and a trailer or teaser - this makes it a lot easier for organisers to promote your project (if selected).
Please note: longer short films may be accepted by arrangement - please get in touch if you would like to be considered .
Submit your film via FilmFreeway online screener.
For all entry requirements and conditions, please view the below Rules and Terms for information including technical specifications sheet.
To optimise the quality of your submitted film, make sure you view it on different devices (e.g., computer monitor, TV, etc) to identify and correct any quality problems with sound or picture. Please contact Dubbo Filmmakers if you'd like some advice. This article has some great tips to help improve quality:
