The mission of the Okie Women Film Festival is to provide a spotlight for women filmmakers from Oklahoma or are currently residing in the state.

We are in our second season and cannot wait to expand our festival!

Awards & Prizes

There are two awards given out at the festival for Outstanding Achievement decided by our judges. Any category is eligible.

Rules & Terms

This festival is for filmmakers who identify as a woman and that either currently reside in Oklahoma or are from Oklahoma. Films that do not meet that criteria WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Films must be under 30 minutes and must have been created in the last 2 years.
Any number of submissions per filmmaker is allowed.

Open to both students and professionals!

For all submissions the director needs to be the one to submit the project and identify as a woman. You may list more than 1 director on a project. The director will be the one credited at the festival screening including all promotional materials.

Both first time filmmakers and experienced filmmakers are allowed, all levels are welcome!

    The Okie Women’s film festival was probably my favorite festival of my first short film circuit. It was very women forward, very encouraging, and I would love to submit another project to them in the future for consideration!

    Had a wonderful time screening my film here! My film got an award! A really nice venue and I loved seeing all the female creators. Although it may be a small festival, I think it was valuable to meet fellow Oklahoman filmmakers and get opportunity to get exposure.
