What an awesome festival! The communication was good and the festival director was very considerate. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend, but the movie selection looked diverse and amazing. I hope I could be part of the selection in the future also!

Great festival experience! Festival Director Jamie Rich responded promptly to emails and was a very warm presence at all of the screenings I attended. He even recalled one of my previous films which screened there two years ago. I didn't get to interact with any of the other filmmakers so I might suggest more networking opportunities and perhaps a filmmakers' hospitality area. These are minor requests though. Overall, it was a very good festival!

Out Here Now: Kansas City LGBT Film Festival is a wonderfully run, very filmmaker-friendly festival. From the first acceptance email through to after the screening, the festival director was very responsive and helpful. I was able to get to Kansas City to attend the screening and had a great time. The audience was really engaged and the other short films screening in the program were all top notch. Being in a smaller market, this is not the festival you attend to network. Rather, it is a fantastic opportunity to connect with audiences who enjoy your film.
