OPENFRAME International Film Festival – Horror / Thriller / Suspense Edition celebrates bold and imaginative filmmakers from around the world who push the boundaries of fear, tension, and suspense through the art of cinema.

Dedicated to showcasing exceptional independent films, the festival provides a platform for emerging and established filmmakers to present their work before an audience of film enthusiasts, industry professionals, and fellow creatives. From psychological thrillers and supernatural horror to crime, mystery, and suspense-driven stories, we welcome films that captivate, challenge, and leave a lasting impression.

Selected films will compete for official awards and recognition, with the Top 10 Best Films earning an exclusive theatrical screening at the Viceroy Theatre on October 31, 2026.

(Open to all Horror, Thriller, and Suspense films.)

The Top 10 Films will be officially selected for screening on October 31, 2026, at the Viceroy Theatre.

Top 1 Film – Trophy Award
Top 2–10 Films – Certificate of Excellence

Rules & Terms

Submitted films must not be publicly available online.
Films that have screened at other international festivals are accepted.
Films must have been completed within the past 2 years.

Runtime Requirements:
Short Films: Less than 15 minutes

Rights & Responsibilities:
The applicant must own all rights to the submitted film.
The applicant is solely responsible for copyright clearance of all materials.
The festival has the right to use trailers, stills, posters, and images for promotional purposes (social media, websites, publications).

Language Requirements:
Films not in English must include English subtitles.
English-language films do not require subtitles

Festival Participation:
The festival will only communicate with the submitter of the film.
Each film will be reviewed carefully by our programming team.
All submissions are evaluated thoroughly and decisions are final.
