Formerly known as The Dancing Spider Film Festival. This festival used to be an annual celebration where filmmakers from all over and audiences from largely rural areas in the South Dakota and Minnesota plains gather for two days to enjoy films from a variety of genres and formats at a drive-in. NOW this festival will do all of those things but more frequently - we've gone monthly! We've partnered with DayLily Coffee to showcase a handful of selected films to our humble audience in Sioux Falls, SD once every month. None of the films are in competition with one another and they are largely created by filmmakers and students from the midwest region. The focus is to bring filmmakers and storytellers together with an audience to which they otherwise might not have access. This is unique to our area and that's why we feel it's so important to introduce these stories and creative outlets to the rural communities. We all have stories to share and we all crave an audience for them. We are excited about this new phase of our existence and welcome your project to our 10th season with open arms.

We are not a competition festival.

  • An amazing little film fest. Had a ton of fun here!

  • Showing my short film at Nosebleeds was a great experience! Zeke and the rest of the staff put on a great monthly event, and I was fortunate to be able to attend the monthly event when my short film made its premiere at this festival. The audience was great and consisted of people who truly love indie film, which really makes a difference when you're showing low budget work. I highly recommend this festival to all other filmmakers looking for a place to showcase their latest short films.

Participating in the Nosebleeds Film Festival was a wonderful experience. Even though we couldn’t attend due to scheduling conflicts, we were genuinely impressed by the festival’s exceptional support and commitment to both the films and the filmmakers. Their professionalism really stood out throughout the process.
