Submissions must be from filmmakers located in the greater northwest (Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming). If accepted, filmmaker(s) must be prepared to send a DCP of their feature or short to the Capitol Theater for screening purposes.

Date of the event was changed after my film was accepted to a date I was not a available. Was notified of this only a week before. Website down.
They wanted me to download and learn a program to convert my movie to the format they want to screen the films. I tried to do it and sent them the result. The emailed me the week before the festival and told me I did it wrong and gave me 2 days to figure it out or they weren’t going to screen my movie.

The 2nd Annual Northwest Horrorfest was a blast! Great communication, and a very kind staff. I would certainly recommend this festival to other filmmakers as well as attend in future years.
