Call for 2024 entries Open Now!

Northern Lens is a new Youth Film Festival taking place on 16th June 2024 at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen. As part of the Light the Blue Festival, Station House Media Unit, in partnership with Aberdeen Performing Arts, are hosting the film festival with support from the Sean Connery Foundation to celebrate Scottish youth filmmaking.

Rules & Terms

Filmmakers under 25 years of age are invited to submit films made in Scotland within the past 2 years and up to 10 minutes length. Fiction, documentary, and experimental/moving image submissions welcome.

With screenings aimed at audiences aged 12 - 25, submitted films should be suitable for all prospective members of the audience.
