The Nollywood in Diaspora Film/Food Festival aims to establish a robust global presence by showcasing Nollywood’s vibrant storytelling and cultural heritage on an international scale. With plans to expand beyond Africa. Including hosting the second edition in the Caribbean, the festival envisions itself as a global platform where Nollywood can engage with diverse audiences across continents. By promoting African cinema to the world, it seeks to build lasting relationships with filmmakers, investors, and creative professionals from various regions, further embedding Nollywood within the global entertainment landscape. Movies made by Nollywood members around the world will be our first priority.

The maiden Edition will be hosted at the Prestigious LUXERY BEACH RESORT in Accra from 13-15 February 2025. Featuring African Food fair, cultural Dance and Afro Music.

Rules & Terms

1. The festival is open to filmmakers, food vendors, and cultural performers of African descent worldwide.
2. Submission of entries implies acceptance of these rules and regulations.
3. The festival reserves the right to change these rules without prior notice.

Film Submission Rules

1. Films must be produced by Africans in the diaspora or feature African themes.
2. Films must be 50 minutes or longer (feature-length) or 25 minutes or shorter (short film).
3. Films must be submitted in digital format (MP4 or MOV).
4. Films must have been produced within the last 4 years.
5. Films must not have been previously screened at the Nollywood in Diaspora Film Festival.
