BASES DE LA CONVOCATORIA:
1.PARTICIPANTES
1.1 La convocatoria está abierta a realizadorxs y productorxs de todo el mundo mayores de 18 años.
1.2 La inscripción y participación en el festival es gratuita para los cortometrajes patagónicos nacionales, sin costo para largometrajes y cortometrajes argentinos (exceptuando la etapa final de inscripción) y arancelada para los cortometrajes latinoamericanos e internacionales
1.3 El festival entiende a quien presenta la obra audiovisual como responsable de la misma.
1.4 Los eventuales gastos de envío corren por cuenta de lxs participantes, el festival no
pagará ninguna tasa por el envío de copias ni derecho a proyección.
1.5 El/la presentante es responsable de contar con los permisos correspondientes para la proyección del material que envía y desvincula al festival de cualquier tipo de responsabilidad o eventual perjuicio.
1.6 Cualquier incumplimiento legal de los films inscriptos corre por cuenta de su presentante.
1.7 Lxs participantes aceptan que se use un pequeño porcentaje del material seleccionado para la difusión del evento.
1.8 La organización se reserva el derecho de modificar el presente reglamento sin previo aviso.
1.9 La participación en el festival implica la aceptación de las presentes bases. Cualquier
cuestión que surja a lo largo del festival, no contemplada en las bases, será decidida por
la organización.
2.CONVOCATORIA
2.1 La fecha de inscripción es desde el 21/11/25 hasta el 27/3/26 inclusive.
2.2 Podrán participar películas finalizadas a partir del 1 de enero de 2023 que no hayan formado parte de las pasadas ediciones de Nieve Roja, ya sea como selección oficial o como invitados.
3. GÉNEROS Y FORMATOS
3.1 Los géneros admitidos serán terror, fantástico, ciencia ficción y bizarro. Se considerarán otros géneros con elementos de los antes mencionados.
3.2 La duración de los cortometrajes será de 24 minutos máximo, incluyendo créditos.
3.3 La duración de los largometrajes será a partir de los 60 minutos.
3.4 Si alguno de los trabajos presentados no está hablado en castellano, deberá estar
subtitulado en español.
3.5 El formato base de las películas seleccionadas deberá ser de 1080p, formato MP4, codec H264, audio stereo bit rate de 10.
4.INSCRIPCIÓN Y ENVÍO DE MATERIAL
4.1 El envío de material para visualización se hará a través de las plataformas FilmFreeway, Festhome y Toujiang.
4.2 En caso de ser seleccionado, el envío del material se hará de forma virtual, a través de un link de descarga por google drive o sistema similar (sin fecha de caducidad del material). Se informará a los seleccionados sobre la fecha límite para el envío de copia de proyección. Si la copia no es entregada dentro de la fecha solicitada, la organización podrá optar por dar de baja su selección.
5. SELECCIÓN Y PROYECCIÓN
5.1 Se notificará vía mail a cada unx de lxs participantes cuyo material haya sido seleccionado para proyectarse en el festival. Una vez informadxs, podrán enviar material de difusión si disponen del mismo.
5.2 Las proyecciones de las secciones de competencia serán de manera presencial, con la posibilidad de proyectar el material de manera virtual en el caso de los cortometrajes. Los cortometrajes fuera de competencia estarán disponibles de manera virtual durante todo el festival y pueden llegar a proyectarse de manera presencial.
La fecha y hora de cada proyección será definida por los organizadores.
5.3 La organización entiende el envío del material como autorización para la proyección del mismo y no pagará ningún derecho por exhibición.
5.4 Aquellos trabajos seleccionados podrán formar parte de posteriores proyecciones en las que participe el festival, notificándose con anterioridad a su presentante.
5.5 Aquellos cortometrajes que no sean parte de la selección oficial serán considerados para integrar una sección fuera de competencia dentro del festival, con la intención de promover la producción y el desarrollo de cine de género.
6. PREMIOS:
6.1 Las categorías de competencia contarán con un ganador y menciones especiales, la categoría de cortometraje bizarro contará con un único ganador.
6.2 Competencia Nacional de Largometrajes:
- 1er lugar: Estatuilla + diploma.
- Mención especial: Diploma.
Categoria Patagónica:
- 1er lugar: Estatuilla + diploma.
- Mención especial: Diploma.
Categoría Nacional:
- 1er lugar: Estatuilla + diploma.
- Mención especial: Diploma.
Categoría Latinoamericana:
- 1er lugar: Estatuilla + diploma.
- Mención especial: Diploma.
Categoría Internacional:
- 1er lugar: Estatuilla + diploma.
- Mención especial: Diploma.
Categoría nacional bizarra:
- 1er lugar: Estatuilla+diploma.
6.3 El anuncio de lxs ganadorxs se realizará al cierre del festival. El mismo será publicado en nuestras redes sociales y se notificará a lxs ganadorxs de cada categoría vía mail.
6.4 Los eventuales gastos por el envío de las estatuillas correrán por cuenta de lxs ganadorxs.

1.1 The call is open to filmmakers and producers from all over the world over 18 years of age.
1.2 Registration and participation in the festival is free for national Patagonian short films, free of charge for Argentine feature films and short films (except for the final registration stage) and a fee for Latin American and international short films.
1.3 The festival considers the person presenting the audiovisual work to be responsible for it.
1.4 Any shipping costs are the responsibility of the participants, the festival does not
will pay no fee for sending copies or screening rights.
1.5 The presenter is responsible for having the corresponding permissions for the projection of the material he/she sends and disassociates the festival from any type of responsibility or possible damage.
1.6 Any legal non-compliance of the registered films is the responsibility of their presenter.
1.7 Participants accept that a small percentage of the selected material be used for the dissemination of the event.
1.8 The organization reserves the right to modify these regulations without prior notice.
1.9 Participation in the festival implies acceptance of these rules. Any
Issue that arises throughout the festival, not contemplated in the rules, will be decided by
the organization.
2.CALL
2.1 The registration date is from 11/21/25 to 3/27/26 inclusive.
2.2 Films completed as of January 1, 2023 that have not been part of previous editions of Nieve Roja may participate, either as an official selection or as guests.
3. GENRES AND FORMATS
3.1 The admitted genres will be horror, fantasy, science fiction and bizarre. Other genres with elements of those mentioned above will be considered.
3.2 The duration of the short films will be a maximum of 24 minutes, including credits.
3.3 The duration of the feature films will be from 60 minutes.
3.4 If any of the works presented are not spoken in Spanish, it must be
subtitled in Spanish.
3.5 The base format of the selected movies must be 1080p, MP4 format, H264 codec, stereo audio bit rate of 10.
4. REGISTRATION AND SENDING OF MATERIAL
4.1 Sending material for viewing will be done through the FilmFreeway, Festhome and Toujiang platforms.
4.2 If selected, the material will be sent virtually, through a download link via Google Drive or similar system (with no expiration date for the material). Those selected will be informed about the deadline for sending a screening copy. If the copy is not delivered within the requested date, the organization may choose to cancel its selection.
5. SELECTION AND PROJECTION
5.1 Each of the participants whose material has been selected to be screened at the festival will be notified via email. Once informed, they can send dissemination material if they have it.
5.2 The screenings of the competition sections will be in person, with the possibility of screening the material virtually in the case of short films. Out-of-competition short films will be available virtually throughout the festival and may be screened in person.
The date and time of each screening will be defined by the organizers.
5.3 The organization understands the sending of the material as authorization for its projection and will not pay any fee for exhibition.
5.4 Those selected works may be part of subsequent screenings in which the festival participates, with prior notification to the presenter.
5.5 Those short films that are not part of the official selection will be considered to integrate an out-of-competition section within the festival, with the intention of promoting the production and development of genre cinema.
6. PRIZES:
6.1 The competition categories will have a winner and special mentions, the bizarre short film category will have a single winner.
6.2 National Feature Film Competition:

6.3 The announcement of the winners will be made at the close of the festival. It will be published on our social networks and the winners of each category will be notified via email.
6.4 Any costs for shipping the trophieswill be borne by the winners.
